Ariza Dunks on McGee

Javale McGee is one of the best shot blockers in the league, averaging 2.5 per contest but going against Trevor Ariza in the New Year proved to be a wrong move. Ariza is known for his high energy, high flying throw downs against bigger opponents. Last night in Washington, Trevor proved those accusations correct. McGee got POSTERIZED!

McGee was so upset, he let Chris Paul steal the ball and finish a wide open lay up. This was the back breaking moment in the game. The …

Is Orlando Better Now?

The Orlando Magic must be desperate. After losing out on Chris Paul coming over to join the ranks of Miami and Boston, Orlando is cleaning house, which would make sense if they would pick up players that make them better or fit their system. However, after what transpired yesterday, I am convinced GM Otis Smith and Coach Stan Van Gundy have lost it. I don’t know Otis too well, but this is familiar behavior for Gundy. He must have saw something on a consistent basis …

Bobcats Win in OT; Denver, Gallinari ‘Big Simpin’ in NY; and more

Bobcats 95, Wizards 86
Al Thornton’s three pointer with eight seconds left in regulation knotted the game up at 82 points a piece, forcing overtime.  From there the Charlotte Bobcats outscored the Washington Wizards by nine points to come away with a win on the road.  Gerald Wallace led the Bobcats with an impressive 17 points, 19 rebounds, and 3 steals.  Boris Diaw also added 17 and Stephen Jackson chipped in with 16 points as well.  Mike Miller held it down for the Wizards scoring 15 points and JaVale McGee added …

Andray Blatche

Tonight Shooter and I drove to the IZOD Center to watch the New Jersey Nets square off against the Washington Wizards.  Little did we know, that Andray Blatche decided to put on a show.  Blatche finished with 36 points, 15 rebounds, and 4 assists.  Blatche is a guy who was drafted straight out of high school late in the second round in 2005.  The past two seasons he came off the bench being fairly productive for the Wizards.  As most of you know that the Wizards have decided to rebuild …

Newest Wizard, Howard, Out For the Season

Josh Howard, the big catch for the Wizards in the Caron Butler swap, is out for the remainder of this season with a torn ACL.  I know the ACL is a tough injury to recover from and a long recovery as well so Howard may miss some of next season (but that’s just speculation, by me).  Howard torn the ACL in last night’s game in the 1st quarter and has been battling ankle injuries all season long.  There is no deny that Howard has lots of talent but he hasn’t …

Wizards Move to 3-1 Since Trades, Bucks Romp Knicks, and More!

Bucks 83, Knicks 67
After the deadline, the Knicks played with a lot of energy in their first game, against the red-hot Thunder. Well, that energy was absent in this one as the Bucks beat the Knicks pretty handily. Rather than bash the Knicks for sucking, I think most can agree to chalk this up to dealing with new players getting used to each other and Coach D’Antoni’s system. It also didn’t help New York that Andrew Bogut had 24 points and 20 rebounds. Tracy McGrady had a solid 15 points, …
