Last week, I interviewed Dennis Velasco of NetsareScorching of ESPN’s True Hoop Sector to not only ignite the knowledge of you, the fans, but myself as well because God knows I need it. So to keep the trend flowing, I decided to get in touch with Carey Smith of ESPN’s Philadunkia. To the great power of the basketball gods, Carey agreed to do the interview and enlighten me about everything and anything Sixers. Make sure you check out Philadunkia…solid stuff from podcasts to in depth game recaps.

The following are just opinions and views on Trade Rumors reported by various different sources, specifically ESPN.
OJ Mayo maybe be on the move after he serves his 10 game suspension according to NBA front-office sources. There isn’t any team standing out in the conversation but it’s due to Memphis waiting to discuss with any GM’s about the Grizzlies swing man.
Memphis wants the most amount of value for Mayo and dealing him now may be a steal for another GM and nobody wants another Pau Gasol trade. …

Ladies and Gents, the crazy, constantly entertaining 2010 offseason is over. It was filled with moments of brilliance, stupidity, and what the hell were they thinking. It proved to live up to all of the hype, even if some players didn’t go to teams I wanted them to go to. I’m a Knicks fan, enough said. Now the dust has settled and we are entertaining the ideas of preseason, hopes of glory, but pretty much setting up for extreme disappointment and anger. Again, I’m a …

As you may have heard through various rumblings, the Philadelphia 76ers are going to bring in “the John Madden of NBA Broadcasting”, hiring the 58 year old Doug Collins as head coach. Jordan was brought in by GM Ed Stefanski, who was previously with the Nets – a team where Jordan was an assistant coach for a few seasons. And it was Stefanski who announced the move by saying the team took an “unacceptable” step backward after two straight seasons in the playoffs. This team …

Nuggets 102, Hornets 95
Down two going into the fourth, Carmelo Anthony saved his best for last. Melo scored twelve of his thirty two points in the final frame. Melo and Chauncey Billups helped break an 86 to 86 tie with six minutes to go outscoring the Hornets by nine in that stretch. Billups ended up with 27 points and Nene added 17 points and 12 rebounds. As much as I want to talk about the Nuggets winning this game, I cannot help but notice that both New Orleans Hornets …

Bobcats 110, Cavaliers 93
Where do I start?
First off, the Cavs lost their second straight game after winning 13 in a row. Secondly, Antawn Jamison made his highly anticipated debut for Cleveland – and he stunk, big time.
Jamison came off the bench to shoot 0-12 from the field. That’s right ladies and gentlemen, zero field goals in 12 attempts! He had five shots BLOCKED and two of his shots were AIRBALLS! His only two points came with 41 seconds left when he hit two free throws. I’m sure he’ll make up …
