Celtics 92, Lakers 86 (Celtics lead 3-2)
We knew before this game that each team would be fighting for their life trying to avoid being on the brink of elimination. There was only one team that deserved to win this game, and the other team truly deserves to be on the brink of elimination.
Both teams came out of the gate full of enthusiasm. They both had urgency and purpose, but that lead to many rushed plays and a ton of turnovers. The Celtics came out aiming to beat the Lakers with …

Lakers 111, Suns 103 (Lakers win series 4-2)
I had quite a busy Friday and Saturday, so I fell asleep for most of this game. When I woke up, the Lakers had the game in hand early in the fourth quarter. I considered changing the channel, but then a barrage of Goran Dragic brought the Suns right back into this game, with the Suns getting within five points of the Lakers. At this point, with the crowd behind their backs, it looked like the Suns were going to come back and …

Lakers 124, Suns 112 (Lakers lead 2-0)
Before this series is OFFICIALLY over, it seems all but over for the Suns. Now I picked the Suns to win this series because, like the Lakers, they were playing hot all around and everyone was performing at the peak of their game. But just like Shooter said, guys like Frye were playing WAAAAY over their heads and it’s killed the Suns thus far.
Kobe scored 40 points in game 1, so what was the game 2 strategy? Well it seemed like they were going …

Lakers 111, Jazz 103 (Lakers lead 2-0)
The writing is on the wall for the Utah Jazz. The Los Angeles Lakers scored 64 of their 111 points in the paint, giving them a 2-0 lead in the series. Utah had no answer on defense as Los Angeles scored lay-up after lay-up. Kobe Bryant led the Lakers with thirty points, but Paul Gasol, Andrew Bynum, and Lamar Odom showed up big time tonight. If Gasol (22 points, 15 rebounds), Bynum (17 points, 14 rebounds), and Odom (11 points, 15 rebounds) play like …

Lakers 104, Jazz 99 (Lakers lead 1-0)
Going into Game 1 of this series, some felt the emotionally draining close out game the Lakers won on Friday in OKC could result in a first game upset at the Staples Center. Close, but no cigar, Utah. The Lakers came out to a demanding lead, which the Jazz fought back to take back. But the Lakers once again showed us that hustle and determination is still not enough to beat their core superstars in the end.
It only took 20 seconds and we were …

This recap was a Live In-Game Blog written by yours truly, JB. I apologize in advance if it seems random, but this was one of the best games I have watched in a while. As a fan of the Thunder this was exciting to see them continue to battle back until they were able to pull it out. Enjoy and please check out my boy, G’s, Suns vs Blazers wrap-up as well.
Lakers 27, Thunder 22 (End of 1st Quarter)
The Oklahoma City Thunder fans have an awesome (in my opinion) tradition …

Hawks 109, Lakers 92
Suddenly, after this 2-3 road trip, the Lakers look beatable, don’t they? The Hawks smacked them around all night and got contributions of double-digit scoring from 7 players including 3 off the bench (Crawford, Pachulia and Evans) while Joe Johnson poured in 25 points to go along with 8 assists. The Lakers defense just wasn’t present tonight as they allowed the Hawks to shoot 54% from the field. Atlanta outrebounded, outassisted and out-less-turned-over the ball than the Lakers (they only had 5 compared to the Lakers 11). Naturally …
