Hawks 125, Nuggets 100
The Atlanta Hawks rebounded nicely after Friday’s loss but handed Denver their second consecutive loss tonight and as a matter of fact it was a blowout. Carmelo Anthony struggled again from the floor going 7-21 and as usual did great from the line going 15-18. The Nuggets were just 2-10 from 3 while the Hawks were 8-19 and shot 51.7% overall from the field. Melo torched the Jazz (0-1) for 30 points while Chauncey added 25 for the Denver Nuggets (1-0). Deron Williams and Carlos Boozer had double-doubles for the Jazz. The Nuggets picked up the intensity in the 4th quarter outscoring the Jazz 32-25 to pull away.
JB’s Hustle Hero of the Game: Ty Lawson. Without JR Smith, Ty Lawson played more than he thought he would. In 26 minutes, Lawson …

When you have a nickname such as AK-47 as a basketball player you MUST be a bad ass, this USE to be the case for Andrei Kirilenko. From 2003-2006 AK-47 averaged over 15 ppg, over 7 rpg and over 3 bpg. The man was an absolute beast, but over the last three seasons Kirilenko has averaged 10+ ppg, under 5 rpg and under 2 bpg. How does one, with the nickname of AK-47 have such a downfall so quickly? There really isn’t an explanation for it and Jerry Sloan has since …
