Oden Breaks Out as Blazers Rout Bulls

Blazers 122, Bulls 98
Welcome to the NBA, Greg Oden.
After missing his first year due to injury, it appears Oden is finally finding his stride on the court. The big man contributed to the offense by scoring 24 points on 7-8 shooting. The Bulls did not have an answer for Oden nor LaMarcus Aldridge, who also scored 24. Both also combined for 25 rebounds, who basically had their way against Joakim Noah in the paint.
While the Bulls held it close in the 3rd, there was a single play that fired …

Orlando Repeats Last Year’s Magic; Smith, Bosh, James, Gay Lead Respective Teams to Close Wins

Magic 83, Celtics 78

I think it’s safe to say that one team just wanted it more on Friday in Boston.
The Magic came out on a rampage on offense and defense as they held a 29-13 lead after the first quarter. Granted, the Celtics came back and returned the favor in the second quarter (27-14 Celtics advantage). But that’s not the point here. The Magic came into a hostile environment after having some road struggles this year and made a statement. You may have thought that the Celtics would come …

AI Released from the Grizzlies

AI’s time has come and gone with the Grizzlies.  After just 3 games and a few on and off the court matters the Grizzlies and Allen Iverson agreed to part ways.  In this past offseason, Iverson agreed on a 1-year/$3 million deal with the Grizzlies but after just 10 team games (3 of which he played in) he will earn the pro-rated amount.
Iverson left the Grizzlies on November 7th to deal with some personal matters off the court.  Everyone was speculating that is had to do with his lack of …

Grizzlies Sign Jamaal Tinsley

With AI out indefinitely the Grizzlies were in need of some PG help to back up the young Mike Conley Jr.  They found their help in Jamaal Tinsley, who may I add hasn’t played in the NBA since the 2007-2008 season, to a one-year deal.
Tinsley has always had problems on an off the court and always seems to get hurt or find himself suspended from the league.  He has decent career averages of 10.4 ppg, 7 apg and 1.7 spg.  If he can stay healthy and get himself in shape …

Welcome to the NBA Brandon Jennings, Thunder Creating Noise on the Road

Bucks 129, Warriors 125
Maybe it’s time I stop BASHING Brandon Jennings.  I won’t lie to you, I thought it was stupid he was going to play in Europe and I honestly thought he was over-hyped and that the Bucks made a big mistake.  It’s seven games into the season, and boy was I wrong thus far.  On Saturday, Jennings poured in 55 on 21-34 shooting, including 7-8 from downtown and 6-8 from the stripe.  Even with 55 points from Jennings the Bucks only won by 4 points against the Warriors.  …

Open Letter to Allen Iverson:

Allen Iverson has career averages of  27.1 ppg, 6.2 apg, and 2.2 spg over the course of 16 seasons (including this year). After being on his third team in as many seasons, Iverson made his Grizzlies’ debut last night coming off the bench with 11 points in 18 minutes on 5 of 9 shooting. Afterwards, A.I. complained about coming off of the bench. Below is my letter to Allen.

Dear Allen,
I’ve been a Sixers fan for some time. With that being said, I obviously look to you as one of the …
