Kobe and Lakers Burn Suns, Heat KO Bulls, Buck Does NOT Stop Here!

Lakers 102, Suns 96
Show of hands: how many people here thought the Lakers were washed up and falling fast after their three-game losing streak last week?  Ok, now how many people here hate the Lakers?
Yeah, I’d bet it was the same people keeping their hands up for both, and boy are they disappointed; because the Lakers are focused and back on track after a big road win against the Suns.
Guess who stepped up for the Lakers in their big road win. Who else, but Kobe (yes, I am going to …

Balkman is Back!; Bron Bron Handles Nets; Grizz Continue to Win on the Road

Nuggets 119, Thunder 90
Forget that the Nuggets held the surging Thunder to twelve points in the 3rd quarter.  Forget Carmelo Anthony’s 30 points, Nene’s 20 points, and J.R. Swish’s 18 points off the bench.  Forget the fact that the Nuggets kept Kevin Durant under the 20 points mark for only the sixth time all season.  All that matters is that Renaldo Balkman (my favorite player) is finally back from his back injury.  In this 30 point blow out, my dude put up 2 points (1-4 FG, 0-3 3FG), 2 rebounds, …

Bosh-less Raptors Lose; Grizz Bounce Back; Bogut Dominates Hornets; and more!

Trailblazers 101, Raptors 87
Chris Bosh missed yet another game due to his bad ankle and the Trailblazers capitalized.  Andrew Miller fell three rebounds short of a triple-double with 18 points, 10 assists, and 7 rebounds.  Brandon Roy had 20 points and Rudy Fernandez added 17 off the bench.  In Bosh’s absence Hedo Turkoglu and Jarrett Jack stepped up their game, but it was not enough.  Turkoglu had 24 points and hit eight of his nine shots.  Jack had 18 points and 8 assists as he continues to keep his starting …

Ronnie Brewer To Memphis!

I’m just as surprised with this move as Ronnie Brewer is in this photo.  The Memphis Grizzlies will trade a first rounder to the Utah Jazz for swingman Ronnie Brewer.  From an offensive standpoint Brewer won’t do much with the Grizzles especially since Mayo, Gay and now Brewer all play the 2/3 combo guard position.  Brewer is more known for his defense and is averaging over 1.5 steals per game for his career.
You have to believe defensive reasons are why the Grizzlies were late players for Brewer.  The Grizzlies are fighting …

New Look Wiz Pull Away from T-Wolves; Spurs Win Despite Duncan’s Struggles; Rose Flourishes in the Garden; and More!

Wizards 108, Timberwolves 99
Gilbert Arenas: suspended indefinitely for his “prank.”  Caron Butler and Brendan Haywood: traded to the Mavericks for Josh Howard, Gooden (Who they already traded), and James Singleton.  Antawn Jamison: traded in a three way deal to the Cavs for Big Z and Al Thornton (Clippers).
Four of the five projected starters this season for the Washington Wizards are now no longer with the team, but that was not a problem tonight for the new look WizKidz.  Andray Blatche, a last second starter after the Jamison trade, responded by …

Carter and Superman Lead Magic; Cavs Bring Grizz Back to Reality; Raps Play No Defense

Magic 99, Bucks 82
Vince Carter, who has been playing awful as of late, finally put together a solid game to help the Magic put away the pesky Bucks.  Carter scored 17 points on seven of fifteen shooting, grabbed 10 rebounds, and actually had 7 assists.  This is the type of play that I think the Magic were hoping for Carter, who is currently shooting an abysmal 38% from the field this year.  Superman, Dwight Howard, put up his normal type numbers; 22 points, 11 rebounds, and 5 blocks.  Superman and …

Nets Win?!?!?; Grizz Top Pistons; Heat Continue to Skid Vs. Raptors

Nets 103, Clippers 87
A congratulations is in order for the New Jersey Nets!  It only took 27 days for the Nets to win their first game in 2010 and I am sure Shooter could not be happier at this moment.  They were able to overcome not playing with Devin Harris and Courtney Lee due to injuries.  In Harris’ place, Keyon “The Combo Guard” Dooling stepped up with 18 points and 8 assists.  Kris Humphries (this is not a typo) abused the Clippers shooting 10-13, finishing with 25 points and 8 …
