Apparently Gilbert Arenas pulled a gun on teammate Javaris Crittenton after an argument ensued about a gambling dispute. It was reported that the two made a bet and Arenas didn’t hold his end of the deal and they got in a verbal argument in the locker room. Last week it was reported that Arenas had unloaded guns at the Verizon Center in DC, in order to get the guns out of his house to protect his daughter and the NBA was further investigating this issue. From an article on espn.com while …

Cavaliers 95, Hawks 84
In the first game of a home-and-home series, the Cavaliers showed their dominance by beating the Hawks at the Phillips Arena. It was a tight game with the Hawks down one at the start of the final quarter. The Cavs held the Hawks to a meager 10 points in the fourth to pull away and earn the hard fought victory. LeBron James struggled from the field going 6-20, but found other ways to help his team out. He finished with 14 points, 10 assists, 8 rebounds, and 5 …

Mavericks 106, Grizzlies 101
In a Saturday matinee, neither the Mavs nor Grizz came out with a Christmas hangover. Each team competed from tip to finish, but Dallas used the comfort of home to come away with their 21st win of the season to beat Memphis.
In recent days, Dirk Nowitzki publicly stated that he felt his team deferred to him too much, making them a weaker team overall. Well, he got some help in a close game from Jason Terry and Josh Howard down the stretch. Dirk didn’t score any points …

It’s hard to tell whether Elton Brand is frightened, excited, or in utter disbelief. Either way, he wants his ball back from Glibert Arenas so he can go home.
I actually think of this as Arenas playing his usual role of ‘Agent o’ and Elton is the bad guy, ‘Front Rim’ (due to his constant struggles with making jump shots). The ball is the priceless gem of this action/drama flick that both strive for throughout the game – whoops, I mean movie.
Notice how Agent 0 is way more laid back than Front Rim. …

Rockets 116, Mavericks 108 (OT)
Basketball is a game of runs. Proof lies in the Rockets/Mavs game on Friday night in Dallas.
In the second quarter, the Rockets jumped out to a lead on the road that they carried towards the end of the fourth quarter. However, a 10-point lead was lost in the last three minutes of regulation as the Mavericks were able to force OT. That run was capped with a defensive stop by Dallas.
However, OT brought upon another run – this time for Houston. The Rockets controlled the overtime …

My boy Ray Allen has done it! He surpassed 20,000 big ones with 18 on Thursday against the Washington Wizards in a big win for the Celtics to continue their 9-game winning streak. Allen, in his 14th season, continues to play at a high level and as his biggest fan; I could not be prouder. His next career achievement, besides another NBA Championship, is breaking Reggie Miller’s three point record (2,596) Allen is at 2,301, including Thursday’s performance, and if he can stay healthy, he will definitely break the record. …
