The Orlando Magic made a big splash on December 22 by acquiring the aged point guard Gilbert Arenas and the three point marksmen Turkuglo from the Wizards and Suns respectfully. These players add a different dynamic to an already talented team of outside shooters. Arenas adds veteran leadership with a dash of a true shooter and energy off the bench. This is a new role for Arenas, he is used to being “The Man” with the Wizards and was playing well.
This is what The Magic really need because they …

The Orlando Magic must be desperate. After losing out on Chris Paul coming over to join the ranks of Miami and Boston, Orlando is cleaning house, which would make sense if they would pick up players that make them better or fit their system. However, after what transpired yesterday, I am convinced GM Otis Smith and Coach Stan Van Gundy have lost it. I don’t know Otis too well, but this is familiar behavior for Gundy. He must have saw something on a consistent basis …

There are reports coming out of Washington that Gilbert Arenas “faked” an injury going into last night’s preseason game. Arenas told his coaches that the knee that has cost him to miss a lot of the past three years was bothering him. After the game Arenas admitted that he “faked” the injury in order to give Nick Young a chance to start. Gilbert, are you kidding me!! Arenas Admits Punishment Was a Must
Suspended Wizards G Gilbert Arenas told Esquire magazine that he wasn’t using “longevity thinking” when taking out four guns in his ‘prank’ with teammate Javaris Crittenton in December. Ya think? He also wanted to apologize to Abe Pollin, who died in November:
“I called Mrs. Pollin and said, ‘If Abe was still with us, I would’ve had to talk to …

Gilbert Arenas met with Commisionner David Stern today face-to-face for the first time since being suspended indefinitely.
Entering the meeting, Arenas had anticipated to be suspended for the remainder of the season, and that was exactly the punishment that he recieved. Stern was quoted as saying, “The issue here is not about the legal ownership and possession of guns, either in one’s home or elsewhere. It is about possession of guns in the NBA workplace, which will not be tolerated.”
He continued, stating, “I have met separately with Mr. Arenas and with …

Javaris Crittenton, the other “gunman” in the Agent 0 comics is set to plead guilty to a misdemeanor gun charge just 10 days after Arenas pled guilty and approximately three weeks after he claimed he didn’t even come in contact with a gun in the locker room. Today Crittenton was charged with two misdemeanors including possesion of an unregistered firearm and attempted carrying a pistol without a license. Crittenton’s lawyer said that if he pleads guilty they are likely going to drop the second charge. He also stated that Crittenton …

NBA commissioner David Stern has suspended Wizards G Gilbert Arenas indefinitely for his poor judgment in bringing guns to the arena. Well, not just that, but also for the report of pulling a gun out on teammate Javaris Crittenton in the locker room. Whether or not that was true (which Arenas says was done as a joke), Arenas is creating an unfortunate image for NBA players and a poor model for children to follow.
I was surprised that Stern didn’t make this decision sooner. I expected Arenas to be suspended indefinitely …
