Cavaliers Cool off Heat in Miami

With much speculation about where superstars Dwyane Wade, and LeBron James will be playing next season (together?), both put the future on hold by playing a fantastic game. The Cavaliers, coming off of a big win in Orlando last night came out strong and impressed me with this win over the Heat, who have been playing very well this season.

Down 49-41 at half, Dwyane Wade decided he would do whatever he needed to do to win this game.  He scored 29 of his game high 41 in the second half to help the Heat (6-1) remain in first place in the Southeast Division by beating the Wizards(2-6), 90-76.  In addition to his 41 points, Wade grabbed 5 rebounds, dished out 5 assists, and recorded 3 steals.  Wade and fellow guard Mario Chalmers forced Gilbert Arenas to commit 12 turnovers, a franchise record.  Arenas also struggled from …

Night after night, Dwyane Wade continually proves that he deserves to be mentioned in the discussion about who is the best basketball player in the league. Milestone Watch: Josh Smith and Dwyane Wade

A couple of days ago Josh Smith collected his 900th block of his career.  He is no officially the fastest to 900 blocks, just edging out a 24-year old Shaq.  Smith is just 23 years old and got his 900th block by swatting Gilbert Arenas with 4:30 left in Friday’s game.  After the swat, Josh Smith finished off the fast break with a left handed SLAMA-JAMA!  That boy is NASTY and Smith averages 2.3 bgp in his 6-year career.
