Orlando Feasts on Hawks in Blowout Win

Orlando 93, Atlanta 76

In the highly touted Thanksgiving matchup between the red-hot Hawks, and the defending Eastern Conference Champion Magic, the Magic reasserted their dominance in convincing fashion. At the half, the Hawks were up 14, and it seemed as though Atlanta would have plenty to celebrate. However, the second half was a totally different story.
The Magic outscored the Hawks 54 to 25 in the second half en route to a 93 to 76 victory. The Magic were spurred by great defense, and the outstanding play of Dwight Howard (22pts …

THIS is the NBA

For those of you who enjoy seeing the torch passed from one generation to the next, this is a sight for sore eyes.
The grizzled veteran star Kevin Garnett battles young blooming superstar Dwight Howard for a rebound in Friday’s game at Boston.
Boy, what I’d pay to see these two match up in the prime of each player’s career. This literally could have been Russell/Chamberlain all over again.

The Magic came into a hostile environment after having some road struggles this year and made a statement. You may have thought that the Celtics would come …

Mile High Blowout for Denver, Howard Powers Magic Defensive Rout

Nuggets 105, Lakers 79
How do you return back home from a six-game east coast road trip in style? Just as the Nuggets, who returned back to Denver to man-handle the defending champs by 26 in a rematch of last year’s Western Conference final.
Before coasting to victory, the Nuggets had to overcome a sluggish 8-0 deficit to snap out of a funk, which is very tough after a long road trip. Although, the Nuggets pushed ahead for a two-point halftime lead. Once the second half started, the rout was on after …

VC’s Rollercoaster Return to NJ, Mavericks Embarass Lakers in LA

Magic 95, Nets 85
After Vince Carter was traded from the Nets to the Magic in June, I wondered what the crowd’s reaction would be when he returned to New Jersey. If you recall, Carter is HEAVILY booed every time he visits Toronto, so it made me wonder if the Nets fans would see through his VC or give him a warm welcome back in the Nets home opener. Well, that question was answered early as Carter was given a lengthy ovation to lead off the game’s starting lineups.
Although, not everyone …
