Raptors 123, Pacers 112
Most games Chris Bosh goes 5-19 the Raptors(7-8) lose, but this was not the case tonight.  His teammates picked him in a 123-112 win against the Pacers(5-7).  Bosh still notched a double-double scoring 16 points and grabbing 12 rebounds.  He also recorded 4 blocks in the win.  The Raptors had six other players also in double figures led by Jose Calderon’s 21 points and Jarett Jack’s (more about him in a minute) 18.

Harden Impresses, Dallas Thwarts Late Comeback, and Butler Leads Upset

Oklahoma City 127, Washington 108
James Harden, Welcome to the NBA.
Harden continuing on his 24 point effort against the Magic with 25 point output to backup Russell Westbrook, who also had a great night: 26 points and 7 assists. The Thunder (7-6) starters stepped up big time since their terrible performance the other night against Orlando, led by ‘unguardable’ Kevin Durant who dropped 35 with Jeff Green supplying a stellar first half 17 points and 10 rebounds to then finish with 19 and 14.
The Thunder needed that tonight to extinguish Washington’s …

Dirk Sinks Game Winner, Mavs Hold on in OT Over Bucks

Mavericks 115, Bucks 113 (OT)
Dirk Nowitzki got such an amazing bounce off the rim.
His 18 foot jump shot at the end of OT  put the Dallas Mavericks over the top on the road against the Bucks. This was a classic matchup, pitting the youth and speed of Brandon Jennings against the veteran Nowitzki, who seemed determined to take over the game once Shawn Marion left with an injury.
It didn’t appear that this game was headed for OT, however. After Jennings went ahead 104-102, Jason Kidd came storming back to tie …

Big Dirk Drains the Pistons and the Clippers Spoil Durant’s Superb Effort

Dallas 95, Detroit 90
In the Palace tonight, the Mavericks (7-3) edged out the Pistons (4-4) in a thriller led by Dirk Nowitzki’s 25 points. This game came down to the wire as Will Bynum nailed two free throws to make the score 91-88. On the ensuing play, Nowitizki drove to the basket with Ben Wallace all over him, and made a tough fade-away jumper to lock up the game. Then, Ben Gordon missed a game-tying three with 3 seconds to go. Gordon finished with 5 points on an astounding 1-16 …

Wade Outplays Agent 0; Dallas Rolls; Thunder Drop the Ball

Heat 90, Wizards 76
Down 49-41 at half, Dwyane Wade decided he would do whatever he needed to do to win this game.  He scored 29 of his game high 41 in the second half to help the Heat (6-1) remain in first place in the Southeast Division by beating the Wizards(2-6), 90-76.  In addition to his 41 points, Wade grabbed 5 rebounds, dished out 5 assists, and recorded 3 steals.  Wade and fellow guard Mario Chalmers forced Gilbert Arenas to commit 12 turnovers, a franchise record.  Arenas also struggled from …

VC’s Rollercoaster Return to NJ, Mavericks Embarass Lakers in LA

Magic 95, Nets 85
After Vince Carter was traded from the Nets to the Magic in June, I wondered what the crowd’s reaction would be when he returned to New Jersey. If you recall, Carter is HEAVILY booed every time he visits Toronto, so it made me wonder if the Nets fans would see through his VC or give him a warm welcome back in the Nets home opener. Well, that question was answered early as Carter was given a lengthy ovation to lead off the game’s starting lineups.
Although, not everyone …

Celts overcome early deficit, Arenas makes strong comeback in season debut

The NBA Season kicked off in great fashion, providing fans across the country with some very exciting and down to the wire games.
Boston 95, Cleveland 89

Despite a 38 point performance by King James and a 13-2 lead to start the game, Boston stormed back to take the lead off a Kendrick Perkins jump shot with 1:48 remaining in the first half. While Cleveland would get it close down the wire, the men in green never relinquished the lead from there. Paul Pierce led the C’s with 23 points and 11 …
