Nets Win?!?!?; Grizz Top Pistons; Heat Continue to Skid Vs. Raptors

Nets 103, Clippers 87
A congratulations is in order for the New Jersey Nets!  It only took 27 days for the Nets to win their first game in 2010 and I am sure Shooter could not be happier at this moment.  They were able to overcome not playing with Devin Harris and Courtney Lee due to injuries.  In Harris’ place, Keyon “The Combo Guard” Dooling stepped up with 18 points and 8 assists.  Kris Humphries (this is not a typo) abused the Clippers shooting 10-13, finishing with 25 points and 8 …

Jackson to Sterling: It’s Not a Curse, It’s Karma

Before Friday night’s laugher in LA, Lakers coach Phil Jackson has some words on Clippers owner Donald Sterling. Here’s a shocker from the Zen Master, he believes in karma.
Jackson doesn’t believe that the Clippers franchise is cursed  or that they just have bad luck, just a couple of days after the team that has only had one winning season in the last fifteen years lost their number one overall pick, Blake Griffin, for the season. He says, “I come from a generation that believed in karma. I do think there …

Knicks Squeak by in Philly; Hawks Fly By Wiz; Boston Embarrasses Nets

Knicks 93, 76ers 92
Well I guess whatever hotel the Knicks stayed at last night was not haunted.  David Lee’s layup off a pass by Chris Duhon, with 11 seconds left gave the Knicks a 93 to 92 lead.  The Sixers had one last chance to win when Allen Iverson passed out to Rodney Carney for an open trey that was no good.  David Lee finished with 24 points and 9 rebounds in the win and Al Harrington had 17 points and 7 rebounds off the bench for the New York …

Blake Griffin Out for the Season

Blake Griffin, this season’s #1 pick, is out for the year (joining 2007 #1 pick Greg Oden).  Just when everyone in Clipper Nation thought their savior was coming back to action in the next few weeks, Griffin was experiencing discomfort in his left patela, which was the original injury.  He will miss the season with surgery and will need 4-6 months for rehab.
After Griffin was examined Tuesday by doctors it was determined that the left patela didn’t heal at the excelerated level it should have and he will need to …

Pistons Finally Snap Losing Streak; Big Shot Jack’s 43 Leads Bobcats; Grizz Continue to Play Well

Pistons 99, Wizards 90
The Detroit Pistons finally snapped their 13-game losing streak by beating the Washington Wizards at the Verizon Center.  Charlie Villanueva led the Pistons with 23 points (5-6 from three point range) and 9 rebounds off the bench in a game where the Pistons played without Ben Gordon and Tayshaun Prince.  Rip Hamilton and Rodney Stuckey both added 19 points in the winning effort.  Antawn Jamison led the Wizards once again with 31 points and 10 rebounds.  Randy Foye, who received the starting nod over Earl Boykins, had …

For those of you who didn’t know, there were a few games on the NBA schedule on Thursday night before the ball dropped on 2009. Check out wrap-ups for each of these five games with a little addition to close out the decade!

Thunder 87, Jazz 86
