Spurs 92, Mavericks 83
In San Antonio, the Spurs (4-3) beat the Mavs (5-3) without their two superstars, Tim Duncan and Tony Parker. Richard Jefferson had perhaps his best game as a Spur scoring 29 points and grabbing 7 rebounds. Manu Ginobili came off the bench to add 13 points for the Spurs.
The Mavericks had a 29 point scorer of their own in Dirk Nowitzki, but he did it on 9-27 shooting. Jason Terry had another solid game off the bench scoring 19. Terry is looking like he will be in …

Clippers 113, Grizzlies 110
It was the matchup we have all been waiting for since the start of the season. NOT. The Clippers and Grizzlies squared off in LA in a matchup of two of the poorest teams the Western Conference has to offer. Although, it wasn’t nearly as bad of a game as I am advertising – it was actually really good!
The score was tied going into the fourth quarter but the Clip Show took advantage of what was given to them down the stretch. Despite only one field goal, …

Glen Davis is out for the first 6 weeks of this young basketball season due to thumb surgery after he got in a fight a few weeks back with a former LSU student. Now that Glen Davis has all this time on his hands while he is resting that thumb he is reflecting back to his high school days when he was a defensive tackle, defensive end and a tailback.

Miami 93, Washington 89
Night after night, Dwyane Wade continually proves that he deserves to be mentioned in the discussion about who is the best basketball player in the league. Wade finishes the game with 40, carrying his team to victory along with help from Quentin Richardson, whose contributing since his 30 pound drop-off from last year. He scored 19 points and pulled 9 rebounds making him a solid wingman to Wade’s slashing abilities. On the other side, Gilbert Arenas did everything he could by dropping 32 points, but on 9-27 …

Celtics fans can breath easy now, Rajon Rondo agreed in principle to sign a 5-year contract extension which will start in the ’10-’11 season. The deal is reportedly worth a minimum of $55 million which is a lot of money for a PG who averages 9.6 ppg. I guess all that doesn’t really matter though when you average 1.7 spg and last year totalled 8.2 apg (this year already at 11.8 apg). Personally, I think he is a guy who should make $6-10 million a year and have that contract be worth $40 million …

Magic 95, Nets 85
After Vince Carter was traded from the Nets to the Magic in June, I wondered what the crowd’s reaction would be when he returned to New Jersey. If you recall, Carter is HEAVILY booed every time he visits Toronto, so it made me wonder if the Nets fans would see through his VC or give him a warm welcome back in the Nets home opener. Well, that question was answered early as Carter was given a lengthy ovation to lead off the game’s starting lineups.
Although, not everyone …

The NBA Season kicked off in great fashion, providing fans across the country with some very exciting and down to the wire games.
Boston 95, Cleveland 89
Despite a 38 point performance by King James and a 13-2 lead to start the game, Boston stormed back to take the lead off a Kendrick Perkins jump shot with 1:48 remaining in the first half. While Cleveland would get it close down the wire, the men in green never relinquished the lead from there. Paul Pierce led the C’s with 23 points and 11 …
