Bobcats Push Streak to 4; Cavs Back to Winning Ways; Bucks Fall Apart

Bobcats 92, Wizards 76
The Bobcats (7-9) pushed their win streak to four in a decisive 92-76 win on the road against the Washington Wizards (5-10).  They did it mostly from the defensive end.  For the first three quarters the Bobcats held the Wizards to 50 points.  The Wizards really struggled shooting 38% from the field.  Gerald Wallace led the Bobcats, who had six players in double figures, with 14 points.  He also grabbed 14 rebounds in the win.  The Wizards were led by Caron Butler’s 19 points.  Gilbert Arenas finished …

Cavs Bring the D, Bucks Move to 8-3, Nets Can’t Get Victory

Cavaliers 97, 76ers 91
DE-FENSE. DE-FENSE.
That’s the headline coming out of Cleveland on Saturday night, as the Cavs hammered down the D in the final period for a six-point win over the Sixers.
We all know that the Philly offense isn’t anything to go crazy about, but it’s safe to say that even they thought they could come away with a win in this one. Going into the fourth quarter, the Sixers held a 6 point lead, but the squandered it due to their lack of scoring from the intense Cavs D. …

Orlando Repeats Last Year’s Magic; Smith, Bosh, James, Gay Lead Respective Teams to Close Wins

Magic 83, Celtics 78

I think it’s safe to say that one team just wanted it more on Friday in Boston.
The Magic came out on a rampage on offense and defense as they held a 29-13 lead after the first quarter. Granted, the Celtics came back and returned the favor in the second quarter (27-14 Celtics advantage). But that’s not the point here. The Magic came into a hostile environment after having some road struggles this year and made a statement. You may have thought that the Celtics would come …

Cavaliers Cool off Heat in Miami

Cavaliers 111, Heat 104

With much speculation about where superstars Dwyane Wade, and LeBron James will be playing next season (together?), both put the future on hold by playing a fantastic game. The Cavaliers, coming off of a big win in Orlando last night came out strong and impressed me with this win over the Heat, who have been playing very well this season.
The difference between these two teams was simply that LeBron has a much better team around him than Wade. Wade led all scorers with 36 points to James’ …

Nets Remain Winless, Cavs Dismantle Magic, Jennings Outplays ‘Melo

Philadelphia 82, New Jersey 79
In the IZOD Center, the Sixers and the Nets continued their close defensive battle that started last week in Philadelphia, and ended in a similar way.  Points were hard to come by with teams shooting 39% (Philadelphia) and 40% (New Jersey) respectively, with both sides playing aggressively and attacking the ball.  Also, both teams have no outside game, unless you count Bobby Simmons, I can’t even keep a straight face typing that.  Excuse me.
Back to the game, the Nets had a few opportunities to take the …
