The end of 2009 is not only the end of a year; it includes the end of a decade. Despite there only being a handful of dominant teams in the league during the last 10 years, there has been a tremendous amount of superstar players and memorable moments. The NBAtoday.net staff has their fair share of memories from the last decade ranging from the best players to personal recollections.

Cavs 106, Hawks 101
Going into this game, LeBron James was 0-3 when playing on his his birthday. Today, he celebrated it in style. James had 48 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 steals, and 2 blocks on the night he turned twenty-five. The Cavaliers were down by as many as 9 points in the third quarter but fought back in the fourth outscoring the Hawks 29 to 16 to pull away with a five point win and a sweep of the home and home series. With the score tied at …

Cavaliers 95, Hawks 84
In the first game of a home-and-home series, the Cavaliers showed their dominance by beating the Hawks at the Phillips Arena. It was a tight game with the Hawks down one at the start of the final quarter. The Cavs held the Hawks to a meager 10 points in the fourth to pull away and earn the hard fought victory. LeBron James struggled from the field going 6-20, but found other ways to help his team out. He finished with 14 points, 10 assists, 8 rebounds, and 5 …

Cavaliers 85, Bucks 82
Through 24 minutes, the Cavs and Bucks had a terrific battle going on in Cleveland with the Cavs holding a 49-47 lead at the half. Then the ugliness happened.
The third quarter was not kind to Milwaukee, who was outscored 24-12 in the quarter. You’d think the game was over as the Cavs lead by 10 with about five minutes to go in the game. But THAT is when the Cavs nearly blew the game! Cleveland was up 85-75 and did not score in the last 5 minutes …

With 10 games slated for tonight, here is the wrap-up for the first five games played on Wednesday:
Mavs 117, Nets 101
History has been made ladies and gentlemen. With tonight’s loss, the New Jersey Nets dropped to 0-18, the worst losing streak to start a season EVER. The Nets next goal should be to beat the all-time longest losing streak held by the 1998 Denver Nuggets and the Vancouver Grizzlies’ during their inaugural season in 1995-1996 (23 game losing streak). The Nets were able to stay with the Dallas Mavericks (14-5) …

Cavs 114, Warriors 108
I’m convinced that Don Nelson no longer has any idea how to coach this team. Ten games into the season and Nelson has used 7 different starting lineups it seems. Newly acquired Raja Bell is having wrist surgery and will be out for the remainder of the season; I guess he really doesn’t like Don Nelson and the Warriors. So with Bell out the Warriors used just 7 players and all 7 of them scored in double digits including a team high 23 from Monta Ellis. The thing I don’t get …

Heat 81, Nets 80
Heading into the last possession of this game, the Nets led by 2 points after a tip in by Brook Lopez and about to pick up their first win of the season. With only 4 seconds left I said, “Watch Dwyane Wade hit a three pointer at the buzzer to win it.” Well, I was wrong. Wade hit a three pointer with 0.1 seconds left, not at the buzzer, and the Nets move to 0-10.
Meanwhile, Wade finished off a big win to move the Heat to 7-2 …
