Spurs 109, Thunder 108
This was a featured game in our podcast this past week and it didn’t disappoint. If you look at the box score you may have thought the Thunder were out of this game by the first after being outscored 35-18 but they fought back to cut the lead to 12 at half. In a 3rd quarter romping the Thunder actually pulled ahead by 1 but the game went to OT where Jefferson put the game away for the Spurs who are now 24-13.
Blair had himself a career …

Tomorrow is Christmas and people are waking up early to see what Santa brought them. Here at NBAtoday, these are a few players we’d love to see Santa give us to be on our Fantasy team:
1. LeBron James – If LeBron James fell to my team especially in a keep league, I would be happy for years to come. Wherever LeBron James ends up next year, he will continue to put up numbers like he is doing this year: 28 ppg, 8 rpg, and 7 apg.
2. Carmelo Anthony – Here …

The Celtics (17-4) come up clutch in the fourth quarter to outlast the Bucks (9-11) 98-89. With the score tied at 71 going into the fourth, the Celtics were led by Rajon Rondo who scored all eleven of his points in the final period. Thunder 108, Bucks 90
The most anticipated game of the week was not a matchup of star teams or top contenders, but it was the matchup of young stars – specifically Brandon Jennings and Kevin Durant – that caught the eye of the NBAtoday.net staff. Though this game was a sort of disappointment, the Thunder showed us flashes of absolute upside and a high ceiling of potential.
No matter what matchup you look at from this game, it was nearly dominated by the Thunder.
Jennings was kept in check on 3-11 shooting and …

Nuggets 105, Lakers 79
How do you return back home from a six-game east coast road trip in style? Just as the Nuggets, who returned back to Denver to man-handle the defending champs by 26 in a rematch of last year’s Western Conference final.
Before coasting to victory, the Nuggets had to overcome a sluggish 8-0 deficit to snap out of a funk, which is very tough after a long road trip. Although, the Nuggets pushed ahead for a two-point halftime lead. Once the second half started, the rout was on after …

Nuggets 90, Bulls 89
After losing twice last week and finally getting JR Smith back, Denver (6-2) did just enough to beat the scrappy Bulls (4-3). Luckily this game was on NBAtv so I was able to watch it. Defense was a big part of this game limiting both teams to under 45% shooting from the field. Chicago did a good job bringing help defenders towards Carmelo Anthony. He finished the game with 20 points on 8-22 shooting, while committing 4 turnovers. Kenyon Martin and Nene both finished with double-doubles in …
