Yes…the title included a sad attempt to make “Pau-er” sound like “power.”
Lakers 108, Bulls 93
Through their first 11 games, the Lakers have looked pretty good. Losing two of those games, the cry from most Lakers fans was to “wait til’ Pau gets back.” Welp, I guess those cries were true as Pau looked spectacular in his season debut. Pau had 24 points and 13 rebounds on 9 of 15 shooting. The biggest factor of having Gasol back in the starting lineup, is that Phil Jackson can now bring ultimate …

Nuggets 90, Bulls 89
After losing twice last week and finally getting JR Smith back, Denver (6-2) did just enough to beat the scrappy Bulls (4-3). Luckily this game was on NBAtv so I was able to watch it. Defense was a big part of this game limiting both teams to under 45% shooting from the field. Chicago did a good job bringing help defenders towards Carmelo Anthony. He finished the game with 20 points on 8-22 shooting, while committing 4 turnovers. Kenyon Martin and Nene both finished with double-doubles in …

Clippers 113, Grizzlies 110
It was the matchup we have all been waiting for since the start of the season. NOT. The Clippers and Grizzlies squared off in LA in a matchup of two of the poorest teams the Western Conference has to offer. Although, it wasn’t nearly as bad of a game as I am advertising – it was actually really good!
The score was tied going into the fourth quarter but the Clip Show took advantage of what was given to them down the stretch. Despite only one field goal, …

Bulls 86, Cavaliers 85
In a great NBA matchup, the Bulls were able to sneak past the Cavaliers in Cleveland. All in all, this was a decent game from both teams. Whoever says NBA players don’t play defense during the regular season would sound foolish in this game. Players were playing the ball as if there were NCAA rules in play (5 seconds closely guarded, let’s go!).
The game was close the whole way, but it seemed like Chicago was controlling the tempo of the game. Both teams had 5 players with …

Chicago 92, San Antonio 85
Six players in double figures and one player with nine. That describes the offensive balance the Bulls displayed against the Spurs tonight. The Bulls, who remind me of a younger version of the Portland TrailBlazers (is that possible?), are chock full of rising stars in each position. On Thursday night, Chicago showed how to use depth wisely and were just too much for the Spurs. This depth played a huge role defensively as well as the Bulls’ swarming defense allowed only Tim Duncan to score more than …
