Cavaliers 94, Nets 86
In a Saturday matinee, the Cavs wore their white/home jerseys despite playing in New Jersey. Oh, and the crowd was rooting for the Cavs, despite playing in New Jersey.
It’s normally a trend for ‘Nets’ crowds to favor the road superstars because of the lack of exiting play from the home team, but every time LeBron and Co. did anything exciting, the crowd ‘ooo’d and aw’d’ like they were at the circus.
The only thing that can be resembled from a circus is Anderson Varejao and his Sideshow Bob …

Thunder 87, Jazz 86
I’ve said it once, and I’ll say it again: Good teams find ways to win close games.
Did I just say the Thunder were a good team? I think I did. OKC won their fifth straight game on Thursday night, their longest such streak since the …

Playing a fast pace game to keep up with the Warriors, Kobe Bryant had his 103rd 40-point performance to lead the Lakers to a 124-118 win against the Warriors. Bryant finished with 44 points and also dished out eleven assists to complete the double-double. Pau Gasol dominated the paint scoring 27 points and ripping down 12 rebounds. Lamar Odom also had his own double-double scoring scoring 11 points and grabbing 11 rebounds.
The Warriors were led by Corey Maggette’s 25 points and Monta Ellis’s 22. Anthony Randolph and Ronnie …

Mavericks 106, Grizzlies 101
In a Saturday matinee, neither the Mavs nor Grizz came out with a Christmas hangover. Each team competed from tip to finish, but Dallas used the comfort of home to come away with their 21st win of the season to beat Memphis.
In recent days, Dirk Nowitzki publicly stated that he felt his team deferred to him too much, making them a weaker team overall. Well, he got some help in a close game from Jason Terry and Josh Howard down the stretch. Dirk didn’t score any points …
Hrbl Hoops »
The following video ACTUALLY occured in the middle of a LIVE NBA game featuring the Bulls and the Raptors.
HRBL defense right there! The Bulls are giving up 97 ppg this year and the Raptors are scoring 105 ppg so for the Bulls to not take advantage of this opportunity is beyond me. I mean look at how Deng isn’t even paying attention first off. What’s the #1 rule of defense? Never turn your back (or your head) to the ball! Come on now Deng! I love how Jack was so …

Oklahoma City 117, Philadelphia 106
At least the Sixers (5-14) have a back up point guard now.
I say this because if you look at the numbers, you would think the Sixers not only won the game, but dominated it. Philly shot 50% from the floor, 61 % from 3 (14-23), and 95% from the line, but lost by double digits to the Thunder (10-8). It doesn’t make sense. Almost. The Thunder amassed 11 more offensive rebounds that lead to 23 second chance points. The Sixers were straight up dominated on the …
