Wizards Move to 3-1 Since Trades, Bucks Romp Knicks, and More!

Bucks 83, Knicks 67
After the deadline, the Knicks played with a lot of energy in their first game, against the red-hot Thunder. Well, that energy was absent in this one as the Bucks beat the Knicks pretty handily. Rather than bash the Knicks for sucking, I think most can agree to chalk this up to dealing with new players getting used to each other and Coach D’Antoni’s system. It also didn’t help New York that Andrew Bogut had 24 points and 20 rebounds. Tracy McGrady had a solid 15 points, …

Jamison Spoils Jamison’s Debut, Nuggets…Oye, Bucks Hit Stride After Trade

Bobcats 110, Cavaliers 93
Where do I start?
First off, the Cavs lost their second straight game after winning 13 in a row. Secondly, Antawn Jamison made his highly anticipated debut for Cleveland – and he stunk, big time.
Jamison came off the bench to shoot 0-12 from the field. That’s right ladies and gentlemen, zero field goals in 12 attempts! He had five shots BLOCKED and two of his shots were AIRBALLS! His only two points came with 41 seconds left when he hit two free throws. I’m sure he’ll make up …

Blockbuster Deal! Sike. Sixers Swap Ivey, Brezec, 2nd Rounder for Meeks, Elson.

In the first blockbuster deal of Thursday, the Philadelphia 76ers have sent PG Royal Ivey , a 2nd round pick, and C Primoz Brezek to Milwaukee for G Jodie Meeks and C Fransisco Elson
All of these players contracts will be expiring except for that of Jodie Meeks. Meeks was the big part of this deal, as the Sixers were looking to add another shooter to their roster. In exchange, Royal Ivey will provide defense off the bench. Brezec and Elson are pretty much a push from a talent standpoint. Getting …

Nets Lose in Front of 1,000 Fans; Hornets Outlast the Celtics; Heat Torch the Hawks; plus more!

Bucks 97, Nets 77
In a game where Shooter and I (JB) were supposed to go to, the Nets hung tough until the end of the third quarter.  The snowstorm that hit the Tri-State area caused many fans to stay home.  However there were about 1,000 fans who came to see the Nets lose again and did not come away disappointed.  The Nets contained Brandon Jennings who only scored eight points, but his back up, Luke Ridnour, went off for 17 points.  Andrew Bogut led the Bucks with 22 points, 9 …

Carter and Superman Lead Magic; Cavs Bring Grizz Back to Reality; Raps Play No Defense

Magic 99, Bucks 82
Vince Carter, who has been playing awful as of late, finally put together a solid game to help the Magic put away the pesky Bucks.  Carter scored 17 points on seven of fifteen shooting, grabbed 10 rebounds, and actually had 7 assists.  This is the type of play that I think the Magic were hoping for Carter, who is currently shooting an abysmal 38% from the field this year.  Superman, Dwight Howard, put up his normal type numbers; 22 points, 11 rebounds, and 5 blocks.  Superman and …

Nets Win?!?!?; Grizz Top Pistons; Heat Continue to Skid Vs. Raptors

Nets 103, Clippers 87
A congratulations is in order for the New Jersey Nets!  It only took 27 days for the Nets to win their first game in 2010 and I am sure Shooter could not be happier at this moment.  They were able to overcome not playing with Devin Harris and Courtney Lee due to injuries.  In Harris’ place, Keyon “The Combo Guard” Dooling stepped up with 18 points and 8 assists.  Kris Humphries (this is not a typo) abused the Clippers shooting 10-13, finishing with 25 points and 8 …

Bobcats Win on the Road; Knicks Answer Back; Mavs Hold Off Bucks’ Comeback

Bobcats 114, Suns 109
Stephen Jackson and the Bobcats answered the call winning a huge game in overtime on the road against the Suns.  Jackson tied the game at 98 with a three pointer over Steve Nash with 19 seconds left in the game.  The Suns had a chance to win in regulation when Nash drove and kicked out to a well guarded Jared Dudley.  Dudley’s contested jump shot hit the back iron, forcing overtime.  In overtime Jackson, who scored 30 points in the game, continued to dominate scoring 9 of …
