Nets Make History; Hawks Torch the Raptors for 146; and More!

With 10 games slated for tonight, here is the wrap-up for the first five games played on Wednesday:

Mavs 117, Nets 101
History has been made ladies and gentlemen.  With tonight’s loss, the New Jersey Nets dropped to 0-18, the worst losing streak to start a season EVER.  The Nets next goal should be to beat the all-time longest losing streak held by the 1998 Denver Nuggets and the Vancouver Grizzlies’ during their inaugural season in 1995-1996 (23 game losing streak).  The Nets were able to stay with the Dallas Mavericks (14-5) …

Bobcats 92, Wizards 76

Cavs Bring the D, Bucks Move to 8-3, Nets Can’t Get Victory

Cavaliers 97, 76ers 91
DE-FENSE. DE-FENSE.
That’s the headline coming out of Cleveland on Saturday night, as the Cavs hammered down the D in the final period for a six-point win over the Sixers.
We all know that the Philly offense isn’t anything to go crazy about, but it’s safe to say that even they thought they could come away with a win in this one. Going into the fourth quarter, the Sixers held a 6 point lead, but the squandered it due to their lack of scoring from the intense Cavs D. …

Harden Impresses, Dallas Thwarts Late Comeback, and Butler Leads Upset

Oklahoma City 127, Washington 108
James Harden, Welcome to the NBA.
Harden continuing on his 24 point effort against the Magic with 25 point output to backup Russell Westbrook, who also had a great night: 26 points and 7 assists. The Thunder (7-6) starters stepped up big time since their terrible performance the other night against Orlando, led by ‘unguardable’ Kevin Durant who dropped 35 with Jeff Green supplying a stellar first half 17 points and 10 rebounds to then finish with 19 and 14.
The Thunder needed that tonight to extinguish Washington’s …

Bucks 99, Nets 85
Not much to say in this game, up 48-41 at halftime, the New Jersey Nets (0-12) had another abysmal second half to drop their 12th game in a row this season to the Milwaukee Bucks (6-3).  The Nets mangaged 37 points in the second half, including only 12 in the 3rd quarter.  Chris Douglas-Roberts scored 31 points for the Nets and Rookie Terrence Williams added 20 points and 10 rebounds.  Brook Lopez added 11, which mostly came off of dunks in the last few minutes of the …
