Bobcats 92, Wizards 76
The Bobcats (7-9) pushed their win streak to four in a decisive 92-76 win on the road against the Washington Wizards (5-10).  They did it mostly from the defensive end.  For the first three quarters the Bobcats held the Wizards to 50 points.  The Wizards really struggled shooting 38% from the field.  Gerald Wallace led the Bobcats, who had six players in double figures, with 14 points.  He also grabbed 14 rebounds in the win.  The Wizards were led by Caron Butler’s 19 points.  Gilbert Arenas finished …

For the first time in six games, Shaquille O’Neal returned to the floor from a shoulder injury – and for the first time in six games, the Cavs didn’t look like a championship contender. The Bobcats kept LeBron James in check, mostly due to the play of Gerald Wallace. Apparently Michael Jordan was giving Wallace tips on how to play against LeBron, and boy I bet LeBron is embarrassed.

In a move that should surprise no one, disgruntled Stephen Jackson was traded to the Charlotte Bobcats in a 2-for-2 player swap. Charlotte will also recieve reserve guard Acie Law, while they will send Raja Bell and Vladimir Radmanovic. The Warriors wanted to get talent in return of trading Jackson, but this was going to be a hard task as every single team knew that they wanted to get rid off him.

Knicks 117, Hornets 111
The scrappy Knicks were able to hold off Chris Paul’s valiant attempt to steal a win at MSG on Monday night. Paul had 32 points and 13 assists but wasn’t enough to beat a Knicks who were starving for their first win of the season.
David Lee had 28 points to lead the Knicks on a night where they had three 20 point scorers. Al Harrington,24, and Larry Hughes, 20 were the other two, leading an all around balanced attack for the Knicks.

After Vince Carter was traded from the Nets to the Magic in June, I wondered what the crowd’s reaction would be when he returned to New Jersey.
