The Bobcats were looking for front court help and it looks as though they’re going to get it. Charlotte will be shipping the expiring contracts of Flip Murray and Acie Law (in addition to a first round pick) to Chicago for Tyrus Thomas. The Bobcats are currently in the playoff hunt, and were looking for front court stability to put their team over the top.
Chicago has a solid young core as well, but they are trying to remain in the playoff hunt, while also positioning themselves nicely for the offseason. …

Blazers 114, Mavs 112 (OT)
This has been a pretty amazing season for the NBA so far. Tons of exciting games and intriguing questions from week to week, and we haven’t even reached the All-Star break yet! But we have a winner for the most amazing thing to happen in the NBA this season:
ANDRE MILLER SCORED 52 POINTS!
Seriously, I would sooner guess that Andre Miller would have 52 assists in a game instead of 52 points. My goodness! The elderly point guard shot 22-31 from the field, and scored 25 of …

Bobcats 114, Suns 109
Stephen Jackson and the Bobcats answered the call winning a huge game in overtime on the road against the Suns. Jackson tied the game at 98 with a three pointer over Steve Nash with 19 seconds left in the game. The Suns had a chance to win in regulation when Nash drove and kicked out to a well guarded Jared Dudley. Dudley’s contested jump shot hit the back iron, forcing overtime. In overtime Jackson, who scored 30 points in the game, continued to dominate scoring 9 of …

Mavs 94, Wiz 93
Down one with time running out, Caron Butler had a chance to propel his Wizards to victory. Unfortunately for Butler, Shawn Marion was standing in the way. Marion blocked Butler’s 16 footer giving the Mavericks another one point victory. Dirk Nowitzki led the Mavs with 28 points. Jason Terry added 21 off the bench and Shawn Marion finished with both 12 points and 12 rebounds. Jason Kidd only scored 6 points but he dished out 15 assists. Randy Foye, who has played well in the absence of …

Hornets 101, Pacers 96
The New Orleans Hornets may not be one of the best teams in the league, and they may not completely click as a team all the time, but they have the talent to survive.
In Indianapolis, David West led the Wasps in scoring with 24 points to go with his six boards. Chris Paul just missed another triple-double with 22 points, 11 assists, and eight rebounds. He is an incredibly special player. I honestly wish I could see him play more often.
In the loss, Roy Hibbert led the …

Hawks 102, Suns 101
You would probably think that a four point lead with 10 seconds left is safe, unless you’re playing Reggie Miller (and maybe, MAYBE Ray Allen). That just flat out wasn’t the case for the Suns on Friday in Atlanta.
Jamal Crawford hit a long 3-pointer at the buzzer to give the Hawks a one-point win at home. The Hawks trailed by two with three seconds left and the ball. They inbounded to Crawford who took two dribbles and sank a monster three over Jared Dudley (is ugly) to …
