Spurs 106, Wizards 84
I don’t understand what all the hub-bub was about in the beginning of the season when everyone was telling me the Wizards are making the playoffs. No they aren’t and the reason is because they aren’t good. They have some great players on their team in Arenas, Butler and Jamison but they just don’t play well as a team. Arenas goes 7-23 every night it seems and Jamison and Bulter are almost identical offensive players. Not to mention Arenas is one of the most selfish players in …

Heat 81, Nets 80
Heading into the last possession of this game, the Nets led by 2 points after a tip in by Brook Lopez and about to pick up their first win of the season. With only 4 seconds left I said, “Watch Dwyane Wade hit a three pointer at the buzzer to win it.” Well, I was wrong. Wade hit a three pointer with 0.1 seconds left, not at the buzzer, and the Nets move to 0-10.
Meanwhile, Wade finished off a big win to move the Heat to 7-2 …

Trailblazers 115, Timberwolves 93
The Timberwolves dropped their sixth straight game, 115-93, at the hands of Andre Miller and the Blazers Sunday night. Miller led the Blazers with team high 21 points and helped improve his team to 4-3.
The T-Wolves had no answer for the balanced Blazer attack as five Trailblazers scored double digits including 19 from Travis Outlaw off the bench.
Nate Jawai led the way for Minnesota giving a solid 16 off the bench and Big Al Jefferson gave his nightly double double with 12 and 10. The Timberwolves are …

Nuggets 133, Grizzlies 123
Melo ate his Wheaties. Again.
Carmelo Anthony led the Nuggets to a 3-0 start after a 42 point performance. Not only that, he shot 15-26 from the field and 11-12 from the charity stripe. Chauncey Billups backed him up with yet another double-double (22 pts, 12 ast). He is averaging 42 points since his efforts were praised on the NBAtoday.net podcast (check it out).
This win, however, did not come easy. OJ Mayo answered ‘Melo’s call, leading Memphis with a career high 40 points. The entire Grizzlies starting lineup …

Spurs 113, Kings 94
The Kings (0-3) continue to struggle this season after losing to the Spurs (2-1) in San Antonio. The Kings have roughly 28 power forwards on their team, but unfortunately for them they can only play 3-4 a game. Their interior defense is just pathetic and they allowed the Spurs to shoot 58.1% overall and 50% from 3 point land (8-16). The Spurs were led by Tony Parker who had 24 points and 7 assists. Richard Jefferson had his breakout game for the Spurs scoring 21 points.
