Heat 81, Nets 80
Heading into the last possession of this game, the Nets led by 2 points after a tip in by Brook Lopez and about to pick up their first win of the season. With only 4 seconds left I said, “Watch Dwyane Wade hit a three pointer at the buzzer to win it.” Well, I was wrong. Wade hit a three pointer with 0.1 seconds left, not at the buzzer, and the Nets move to 0-10.
Meanwhile, Wade finished off a big win to move the Heat to 7-2 …
Rasheed Wallace reacts as he normally does after a technical foul is called in Saturday night’s 113-104 loss in Indiana.
I know the Celtics are still 8-3 after a minuscule 2-game losing streak, but how is Wallace fitting into Boston’s lineup? I’m not sure he knows his role with the Celtics. It seems like he is just trying to be a spot up shooter with most of those shots coming from beyond the arc.
This is my opinion….what’s yours?

Nuggets 105, Lakers 79
How do you return back home from a six-game east coast road trip in style? Just as the Nuggets, who returned back to Denver to man-handle the defending champs by 26 in a rematch of last year’s Western Conference final.
Before coasting to victory, the Nuggets had to overcome a sluggish 8-0 deficit to snap out of a funk, which is very tough after a long road trip. Although, the Nuggets pushed ahead for a two-point halftime lead. Once the second half started, the rout was on after …
Warriors 121, Knicks 107
In a match up of teams who may be better fit for soap operas, the Warriors gunned down the Knicks in Madison Square Garden, giving the Knicks their worst 10 games start in franchise history. Stephen Jackson, the star of the drama in Golden State led all scorers with 23 points, although three other Warriors each had 22 points (K. Azubuike, M. Ellis, & C. Maggette). With the lead of 66 to 52 at halftime, the Warriors kept pouring it on behind 58% shooting from the field. …
I know half the staff and our readers are going to rip me apart for this but…
“Retiring” #23 is stupid and here is why. First I would like to say that I respect LeBron as a player and I actually do like him on and off the court (unlike Shooter) but this is ridiculous. What has Jordan done for the game that Wilt Chamberlain didn’t do or Kareem or Bill Russell or Oscar Robinson? Jordan didn’t change the game, I’m sorry but he didn’t. Rules were changed for Wilt Chamberlain, …
After the Cavaliers defeated the Heat on Thursday night in Miami, Cavs star LeBron James told TNT that he wants to see the #23 retired by the NBA in honor of Hall of Famer Michael Jordan. Cool, do it. As G mentioned in his wrap-up, Jordan was sitting in the front row with Pat Riley watching this game and LeBron took notice. So LeBron, being the ‘genius’ that he is, told TNT after the game that he’d start the movement away from the #23 by switching to #6 this season. …
