Bosh Ruins The Prince’s Return, Cavs Dominate Houston, & Miami Embarrasses Indiana

Toronto 102, Detroit 95
Usually, when you players get back from injury, they don’t shoot so much.
Ben Gordon is not the usual player. Gordon went 4-15 (15 points) from the field in his return with Tayshaun Prince, who did the usual: 9 points on 4-8 shooting. All in all, it led to 40% shooting for the team and another loss for the struggling Pistons (11-19), their 7th straight. Rip Hamilton scored 15 (6-20 FG) to lead the Pistons scoring, but this team is not good. They have everyone back now, and …

Terry & Howard Step Up in DAL, Return of Tyrus in CHI, No McGrady Needed in NJ

Mavericks 106, Grizzlies 101
In a Saturday matinee, neither the Mavs nor Grizz came out with a Christmas hangover. Each team competed from tip to finish, but Dallas used the comfort of home to come away with their 21st win of the season to beat Memphis.
In recent days, Dirk Nowitzki publicly stated that he felt his team deferred to him too much, making them a weaker team overall. Well, he got some help in a close game from Jason Terry and Josh Howard down the stretch. Dirk didn’t score any points …

Cavs Dry the Lakers, Celtics Trick the Magic, and More…

Heat 93, Knicks 87

In the opening game of a 5 game Christmas Day set, the Knicks and Heat started things off right with what would turn out to be a solid game. The Knicks, 8-3 in the month of December got behind the Heat from the beginning but put on a late rally that almost turned into a victory. Unfortunately for the Knicks, the Miami Heat are home to one of the best rally killers. His name is Dwyane Wade. Chipping away at a late 10 point margin, Wade was …

Dear Santa,

Because Santa and I are homies, he let me take a peek at the Christmas list of each team. That’s right people, every team sends the big man a wish list for things they’d like to receive. The only condition was that I was only allowed to show you just one of the things on each teams’ list. Below, the teams are sorted by number of wins.

The Nice List (Teams with 20 or more Wins):
Lakers- The Lakers would like to receive the remote from the movie “Click,” so they …

Escape From Vin-Peii

Well, Vinny D, I never thought anybody could make Michael Dunleavy look like a good coach, but holy crap, you’ve proved me wrong. Mr. Del Negro now makes the current Clippers head coach look like Bobby Knight. Yes, Bobby Knight. The Clippers are winning and they’re in the West, while the Bulls are only 1 game out of the 8th spot in the east (Yes, I left it lowercase for a reason).
The Bulls had one of the best defenses. They were in the Top 5 for opponent field goal percentage …

Christmas Fantasy Update

Tomorrow is Christmas and people are waking up early to see what Santa brought them.  Here at NBAtoday, these are a few players we’d love to see Santa give us to be on our Fantasy team:

1. LeBron James – If LeBron James fell to my team especially in a keep league, I would be happy for years to come.  Wherever LeBron James ends up next year, he will continue to put up numbers like he is doing this year: 28 ppg, 8 rpg, and 7 apg.
2.  Carmelo Anthony – Here …
