Kobe Crucifies Heat With Buzzer Beater, Nets Nail Down First Win of Season

Lakers 108, Heat 107
Even when you play great defense on Kobe Bryant, you can still get burned.
That’s the case for the Miami Heat, who were the victims of Kobe Bryant’s miraculous three pointer at the buzzer in Los Angeles. With 3.2 seconds left, Kobe took the inbound and hoped to drive to the basket; however, due to a double team, he was re-routed towards the center of the court and he shot up a prayer on one leg as he faded to the right. The shot banked in and the …

Bosh Explodes, Hawks Lose At Home, and Chris Paul is Back!

Toronto 109, Washington 107 (OT)
God, Chris Bosh is so nasty. Ask the Wizards (7-11) if you don’t believe me.

The man went off for 31 and 16, including 9 offensive, to lead the Raptors (8-13) over Washington in the nation’s capital. Bosh simply could not be stopped in the paint where the Raptors outscored the opposition 38-18. The Raptors needed this victory if they consider to stay in the playoff talk, what the hell I am talking about, it’s the East. It was a big victory nonetheless as every starter for …

Rockets Outlast Warriors; Nuggets Freeze Heat

Rockets 111, Warriors 109

With two clutch free throws by Aaron Brooks, the Houston Rockets scrapped out a solid win against the Golden State Warriors. The Warriors did play pretty good basketball, even with Don Nelson returning to the sidelines, but even with Golden State’s huge third quarter, they never could quite put the Rockets away.
I’ve noticed all year that the Rockets are very resilient. Brooks had 25 points, while six other Houston players scored in double figures. Monta Ellis poured in 24 points, and had 8 assists for the Warriors. …

Celtics Hold Off Spurs Despite Breakout Performance by Blair

Celtics 90, Spurs 83
Despite what many will consider a breakout game for DeJuan Blair, and a massive rebound differential, the Celtics managed to pull out a victory on the road.
DeJuan Blair only played 20 minutes off the bench, but yet shot 9-11 from the field, scored 18 points, and racked up 11 rebounds. Most of his contribution came down the stretch, where the Spurs were amassing a comeback. Myself, I was in awe at how the second-rounder out of Pittsburgh was driving to the hole and powering himself against KG. …

To Dunk or Not to Dunk – LeBron Goes Back on His Word

After making headlines and creating a lot of ‘hoop’la (pun absolutely intended) during last year’s All-Star Game in Phoenix, in regard to joining the squad for the 2010 Slam Dunk Contest, LeBron James is now taking back his word. After Wednesday night’s game against the Suns, James said he is now only “50-50″ in terms of his chances of participating in the event.
We all know what that means – there is NO WAY he is doing this event. Just from personal experience, and I’m sure each of you can vouch …

Stop Being ‘AWFUL’

A gentlemenly conversation between opponents:
Trevor Ariza: Chris Kaman, you are trying to block my shot but you are so AWFUL, stop being AWFUL. You can’t help it, you were born in AWFULNESS. Try and play like this. I am so HUGE, you cannot stop the HUGENESS. See how I rise above you and throw down in front of your family and friends. Too Bad that you play with the Clippers in front of 245 fans. Actually, this is good because we don’t want the AWFUL to spread. They want to …
