Normally in my Fantasy Update posts I have tried to give you, the reader, players who you can pick up before they start to break out. Some have worked out (Brendan Haywood and Brandon Jennings) and some have not (cue up Steve Blake). Last night was probably the greatest fantasy night I have seen all year. I’m going to highlight last night’s five best performers in the fantasy world. The amazing thing is this list does not even include LeBron James’ and Russell Westbrook’s near triple-doubles.

On the same night in different games Delonte West and Tyrus Thomas both had monster dunks. On a fast break, West went up and dunked on Josh Smith, an amazing shot blocker. In another game, Tyrus Thomas came from nowhere and dunked right on Josh McRoberts’ head.

Lakers 124, Warriors 118
Playing a fast pace game to keep up with the Warriors, Kobe Bryant had his 103rd 40-point performance to lead the Lakers to a 124-118 win against the Warriors. Bryant finished with 44 points and also dished out eleven assists to complete the double-double. Pau Gasol dominated the paint scoring 27 points and ripping down 12 rebounds. Lamar Odom also had his own double-double scoring scoring 11 points and grabbing 11 rebounds.

Cavaliers 95, Hawks 84
In the first game of a home-and-home series, the Cavaliers showed their dominance by beating the Hawks at the Phillips Arena. It was a tight game with the Hawks down one at the start of the final quarter. The Cavs held the Hawks to a meager 10 points in the fourth to pull away and earn the hard fought victory. LeBron James struggled from the field going 6-20, but found other ways to help his team out. He finished with 14 points, 10 assists, 8 rebounds, and 5 …
Last night Shooter, Basher, and myself (JB) went to go see the Nets play the Thunder. Before the game we watched injured Net, Chris Douglas-Roberts, take over 100 jumpshots trying to get himself ready for when he comes back. After shooting, he went to go in the locker room and stopped to sign for some fans. Now most athletes will sign a couple autographs and leave, but CDR signed for everyone. He even when back when some more kids came down to make sure he got everyone.
