Hawks and Clips Win Ugly Ones, Blazers Hold On

Hawks 80, Mavs 75
On a night where 37.3% shooting was the best FG% by both teams you just knew this was an ugly game.  The Hawks scored 16 points in the 4th while the Mavs went ice cold and scored just 15.  Despite the poor shooting, both teams superstars shot great.  Joe Johnson of the Hawks shot 13-24 for 31 points to make up for an embarassing loss to the Knicks the night before while Dirk Nowitzki shot 11-24 for 32 points.  There was a total of 96 rebounds in this …

Greg Oden Out for the Year; Turner Out 8 Weeks

Portland Trail Blazer’s center Greg Oden is likely done for the year, again, with a fractured left patella.  Oden jumped up on Saturday to block a layup attempt by Aaron Brooks of the Rockets and when he planted and jumped that is when the fracture occurred.  He never made contact with Brooks according to the replay.  Oden went down immediately and you just KNEW it was going to be bad.

This will make the 2nd time in his 3 year career that Oden will miss the entire season; his rookie year he missed the …

Nuggets Battle in SA, Bobcats Rally Back, T’Wolves Win as Team

 Nuggets 106, Spurs 99
The Nuggets want to go to the next level. The Spurs are already in that ‘next level’. With a win in San Antonio, the Nuggets are proving to be a team to be reckoned with every night.
This game had a playoff atmosphere that has nearly been unmatched so far in this young season. It’s great to see game of this intensity in early December!
The Nuggets trailed virtually the entire game, and heading into the fourth quarter down one point, the Nuggets picked up the big stops they …

LeBron Rips on Noah’s game…(sigh)

While I was perusing some game notes, I came across an interview from the Cavs/Bulls game last night. Basically, LeBron was dancing at a timeout after a nice alley-oop from Mo Williams. Joakim Noah didn’t take nicely to it, and started a little altercation with LeBron. The King was hit with a T.
After the game, however, LeBron spoke with the media. He didn’t mean any harm when he got T’ed up – but, he criticized Noah’s game!
“It’s nothing against the Bulls and it’s nothing against Joakim or none of those …

From Worst to First – A Fan’s Hope For Next Season

The following post is an ‘easy’ and exaggerated, yet very possible way to fix the worst team in the NBA, and make them go from worst to first. Enjoy!

So the New Jersey Nets have finally won their first game of the 2009-2010 season, and it only took 19 tries! They broke the record for a winless start to an NBA season (18 games) with one of the least experienced starting 5’s in the NBA – but at least they got rid of that coach. What does it all mean as …

Kobe vs. Wade: Unbelievable Offense Tops Stifling Defense

Before time expired, Kobe Bryant got off an off-balance 3-pointer just in time that banked in for a 108-107 Los Angeles Lakers win over the Miami Heat on Friday in LA. As you can see he drilled this buzzer beater over Dwyane Wade, despite his tremendous defensive effort. The amazing thing that you can see from this photo is that no matter how much Kobe is fading to his left, he is still squared to the basket making his buzzer beater possible.
Below are quotes from Kobe and Wade after the …
