Posterized: Lopez Edition – Robin Over Twin Brook

Wednesday night in Phoenix has to have been the first time in history that twin brothers squared off against each other in the center position. I’m not even going to look that up because it just sounds crazy. Nevertheless, Brook and Robin Lopez battled it out, literally. There was one instance where Robin dunked on Brook and then right down the floor Brook dunked on Robin. However, Robin won dunk of the night for his SLEDGEHAMMER over his slightly older twin Brook.
I will now ‘double your pleasure’ with two views …

Mavs Squeeze by Wiz; Bobcats Extinguish Heat; Dalembert a Class Act

Mavs 94,  Wiz 93
Down one with time running out, Caron Butler had a chance to propel his Wizards to victory.  Unfortunately for Butler, Shawn Marion was standing in the way.  Marion blocked Butler’s 16 footer giving the Mavericks another one point victory. Dirk Nowitzki led the Mavs with 28 points.  Jason Terry added 21 off the bench and Shawn Marion finished with both 12 points and 12 rebounds.  Jason Kidd only scored 6 points but he dished out 15 assists.  Randy Foye, who has played well in the absence of …

Calling All Superstars: Shaq Wants Stars to Dunk

Anyone who followed the NBA games or read The Basher’s wrap-up from last night’s games knows that Tuesday night was SHAQ NIGHT, as the Big Aristotle dropped his 28,000 point. As we all know, Shaq has a tendency to open his mouth sometimes and say pretty much whatever is on his mind. Sometimes these things are important, unimportant, complicated, uncomplicated, funny, and well actually, he’s hardly ever unfunny…
So of course we can expect him to have something to say after a momentous occasion on his part. And he actually makes …

New Additions This Week: DeJuan Blair, Jonas Jerebko
1. Tyreke Evans – Everytime you think he is going to be down and out he steps up and drops 25.  He is still averaging 20-5-5 on the season and doesn’t appear to be slowing down; although his Kings, do.
2. Stephen Curry –Last week, Curry played an entire game (again) and had 18 points, 6 boards, 4 assists and 6 …

Raptors Extinct in Cleveland; Heat Burn Pacers

Cavs 108, Raptors 100
Ok so the title makes this game seem like a blow out, but it was just a 2-point game at halftime and the Raptors were down just 8 after three quarters in Cleveland.  Neither team played particularly well in the 4th quarter, but LeBron James play particularly well throughout the entire game.  James was just one rebound shy of another triple-double.  This game featured what I like to call “The Mo Williams Factor” which is really just The Ref’s obsession with Mo Williams and the fact that if …

Dallas Surges Past C’s in Fourth, Spurs End Slide, and Lakers Come Back Late

Here’s the wrap-up for the night games on MLK Day -
Mavs 99, Celtics 90
When you shoot 80 percent from the floor and outscore your opponent 34-18 in the third quarter, it makes winning a game on the road much easier.
Despite the Paul Pierce circus show, where he did everything he could to keep Boston in the game with some acrobatic drives and shots, the Mavs broke out in the second half and held on to win at the TD BankNorth Garden.
Dirk Nowitzki led all scorers with 37 points, on 14-22 …

The 2010 Sprite Slame Dunk Contestants were released today inside of Penn Station in NYC.  A few days ago it was announced that DeMar DeRozan and Eric Gordon will star in the first ever dunk-off which will take place February 12th during the Rookie Challenge and Youth Jam event.  Joining either DeRozan or Gordon are 2009 defending champion (as well as 2006 champ) Nate Robinson, alongside Gerald Wallace and SHANNON BROWN.  I put Shannon Brown in caps because the dude pulls out dunk contest dunks in regular season games!
It will …
