Top 10 Underachieving Players of 2009-2010

The list compiled here is 10 players who I personally had high expectations for heading into the season and have done nothing but disappoint.  A lot of the players recently received contracts within the last year or two, and some are just flat out disappointing.  There are definitely a few more players who could have made this list so if you have anyone who has disappointed don’t hesitate to let me know in the comments below!
10.  Andrei Kirilenko – Just four years ago Kirilenko was a double-double machine and racked …

Celts, Mavs, and Knicks Blow Leads in Fourth in Thursday Action

Tonight’s theme is how teams blow leads late in games. All three games exhibited this common trait (much to my dismay). As all three games involved teams fighting for position in the playoffs, it was an enjoyable night of  basketball on TNT and Sir Charles did not dissapoint during the halftime shows.
Now that I’ve finished pulling my hair out over the C’s, lets get to the wrap-ups…
Magic 96, Celtics 94
The Orlando/Boston saga continues. I swear there might not be two teams that currently hate each other more in the NBA …

Clipper Nation: The Most Dedicated Fans?

In a report from the Wall-Street Journal, Clipper fans are (apprantely) the most faithful/dedicated fans in the NBA… EVER!  Sports-reference.com made a study that analized things like a cities population, if another team plays in that city, prior attendance, winning perctages etc.  Somehow, after all that, the Clippers came out on top with a close second for Warrior fans!
Just a little background on the Clippers, they have had a losing season 17 out of the last 20 seasons and the Clippers and Warriors have a combined .399 winning percentage since …

Bulls Win 4th in a Row on Road; Spurs End Skid, Hornets Sting Warriors

Bulls 96, Thunder 86
The Thunder were in the midst of a tough stetch and a two game losing streak heading home; just the boost a young team could use right?  Wrong.  They squared off against the Bulls who are definitely the lesser of the two teams but the Bulls pulled this one out for their 4th conescutive road win which includes wins against the Rockets, Spurs and Suns; that’s impressive.
Kevin Durant put up his usual 29 points but was 7-19 shooting and the Thunder shot under 40% overall for the …

Nets Win?!?!?; Grizz Top Pistons; Heat Continue to Skid Vs. Raptors

Nets 103, Clippers 87
A congratulations is in order for the New Jersey Nets!  It only took 27 days for the Nets to win their first game in 2010 and I am sure Shooter could not be happier at this moment.  They were able to overcome not playing with Devin Harris and Courtney Lee due to injuries.  In Harris’ place, Keyon “The Combo Guard” Dooling stepped up with 18 points and 8 assists.  Kris Humphries (this is not a typo) abused the Clippers shooting 10-13, finishing with 25 points and 8 …

Arenas & Crittenton Suspended for Remainder of Year

Gilbert Arenas met with Commisionner David Stern today face-to-face for the first time since being suspended indefinitely.
Entering the meeting, Arenas had anticipated to be suspended for the remainder of the season, and that was exactly the punishment that he recieved. Stern was quoted as saying, “The issue here is not about the legal ownership and possession of guns, either in one’s home or elsewhere. It is about possession of guns in the NBA workplace, which will not be tolerated.”
He continued, stating, “I have met separately with Mr. Arenas and with …
