Nets’ 6th Win Embarasses Celtics, Grizz Big 3 Rock Garden, Jazz Score Mad Points

Nets 104, Celtics 96
It’s obvious that the Nets win over the Celtics has yet to sink in for me, because I am still waiting for them to blow the game as they have so many times this year. Note to self: The game is over!
Here’s the lowdown on this game… It was a 1pm matinee and there was plenty of college basketball on TV. Going into the game, I knew the Nets would lose because they were playing the Celtics, in Boston nonetheless. Butttttttt, I decided to watch anyway. The …

Close Games Galore as Cavs, Bulls, and Rockets Sneak Wins, plus more!

Ladies and Gents, you’re all in for a treat, as Bud Light has unofficially sponsored this post. Let’s begin.
Cavaliers 126, Raptors 118 (OT)

LeBron. LeBron. LeBron. LeBron was shaken up, taking a knee to the quad early in this game, but he recovered well, pouring in 36 points to go along with 6 rebounds, and 9 assists. Toronto was gutsy in this game though, playing without superstar Chris Bosh. Andrea Bargnani and Jarrett Jack each had 24, but at the end of the day, the Cavs, playing without LeShaq, won …

No ‘Kidd’ing in ATL, David ‘Lee’ds Knicks, & I’m Out of Puns for the Rest!

There were plenty of amazing battles on this Friday night, and I am actually considering myself lucky to be coped up at home ‘forced’ to watch awesome NBA action! Oh yeah, and I apologize for my terrible headline, but I thought it was moderately clever. Let’s get to some of the great games from Friday night!

Mavericks 111, Hawks 103 (OT)
Honestly, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a game such as this one – where neither team could grab a hold of the game.
The quarter-by-quarter scoring shows exactly how back-and-forth this …

Cavs Turn Things Around, Nuggets Hold Off Curry, Bucks Outlast Pacers

Cavs 108, Celtics 88
Another day, another double-digit lead blown by the Celtics. It seriously is becoming very frustrating to watch this team.
I didn’t have high expectations when the C’s are missing a key component of their team – Paul Pierce was sidlined with an injury. But, when you have an 11 point lead on the Cleveland Cavaliers, who in my opinion are the BEST team in the NBA post-trade deadline, you don’t expect Boston to end up losing by 20.
(Begin Commish Celtic Rant)
And its sad too – it was a …

Fantasy Update: Post Trade Deadline

A few games have past since the trade deadline giving players both new and old to their respective teams a chance to settle in.  Today I am going to highlight three players who will excel the rest of the way for your fantasy team.
1.  Tracy McGrady – If T-Mac can stay healthy for the remainder of the season, he has a chance to perform extremely well in Coach Mike D’Antoni’s system.  In his first game at the Garden against the Oklahoma City Thunder, McGrady put up 26 points and 5 …

The Last Straw for Caron Butler

I’d just like to say for the record that this is not a made up story, and I will do my very, very best to not be biased.
The NBA made a phone call to new Dallas Mavericks F Caron Butler on Tuesday to tell him not to bring straws the arena. Sayyy whattt???

Yes, straws. Butler has had a habit of chewing on multiple straws throughout each game to calm himself down. It’s a habit he has said started as a teenager and he has gone through around 12 straws a …
