Bobcats Starters Fall Silent Against VC’s Magic

Magic 92, Bobcats 77 (Magic lead 2-0)
If you compare the starters of the Magic to the starters of the Bobcats, you would easily understand why the ‘Cats lost this matchup. The Bobcats starters scored 51 points while the Magic starters put out 71 points. Noone on Orlando topped 20 points so the consistency on offense was crucial in this game. Larry Brown was seemingly frustrated …

Blazers Fall Flat As Suns Even Up Series & Kobe Throws Down Life Lesson to ThunderKids

Suns 119 , Blazers 90 (Series tied 1-1)
Amidst June Jubilation, there is a word that you will hear announcers say over and over again. “Adjustments, adjustments, adjustments.” In game one, Amare Stoudemire struggled and fouled out, while Andre Miller had no problem picking apart the Phoenix defense. Well in game two, it was blatantly obvious what adjustments Phoenix made en route to an easy victory.

Get Amare Going. Amare had yet another underachieving game scoring wise, but the effort was there the whole game to get him the ball. In addition …

Big Baby, Allen Lead Blowout Over Heat While Johnson & Smith Help Hawks Soar Past Bucks

Celtics 106, Heat 77 (Celtics lead 2-0)
One word describes this game. Wow.
I’ll be frank – I am a Celtics fan, but I realistically thought they were not going to be able to pull out the performance they did tonight. Without Kevin Garnett in the lineup, Glen ‘Big Baby’ Davis (23 points, 8 rebounds) played out of his mind as his replacement. Ray Allen (25 points) felt like he could not miss at times. I seriously could not believe my eyes. He was 7 for 9 from beyond the arc!
This game …

The Jazz Fight Back to Even the Series

Jazz 114, Nuggets 111 (Series tied 1-1)
Please excuse the length of this recap.  Most of the writers here at NBAtoday.net also play on an adult basketball league called the EMUs.  Down late in the game, our team pulled out an exciting double over time win, leaving yours truly exhausted.
Down 0-1 going into the game, Deron Williams put the beat up and injured Jazz on his back.  Williams finished with 33 point and  14 assists and teammate Carlos Boozer added 20 points and 15 rebounds.  Kyle Korver and Paul Milsap …

James’ 40 Points Pace Cavs Past Bulls

Cavs 112, Bulls 100 (Cavs lead 2-0)
A large knock on LeBron’s game since he has been in the league has always been his jumpshot. No one dares to doubt his  ability to get to the basket, make great passes, and grab a solid amount of rebounds. Tonight he clearly presented to Chicago and the rest of the world that he can knock down the open J if you let him. James had 40 points on 16 of 23 shooting to go along with 8 assists and 8 rebounds.
In game one …

Magic Survive Howard’s Foul Trouble

Orlando 98, Charlotte 89 (Magic lead 1-0)
Dwight Howard may have only scored 5 points, but he was the most valuable player out there.
Howard finished the game with 9 blocks, but was frustrated when Charlotte continually fouled him to send him to the line or to get the ball out of his hands. It worked. Howard became flustered, and started committing stupid fouls and inconsequently, sent him to the sideline. At this point, the Magic were dominating. Jameer Nelson scored 24 of 32 points in the first half en route to …
