All of a Sudden the Momentum is Switching

Magic 113, Celtics 92 (Celtics lead 3-2)
To be totally honest, I am not surprised that the Magic, at home, came out focused to take Game 5 of this series. Dwight Howard looked ready to go as he scored 21 points, grabbed 10 rebounds, and blocked 5 shots.  The real key to this game was Jameer Nelson.  Nelson gave the Celtics a dose of their own medicine as he did his best impression of Rajon Rondo.  He cut his way into the defense finding his teammates for wide open threes.  Nelson …

Magic Survive Gut Check Game

Magic 96, Celtics 92 (OT – Celtics lead 3-1)
Down 3-0 and hearing the rumors that they already gave up, the Orlando Magic went into Boston and found a way to win in overtime.  Up seven with 2:15 left to play in regulation, the Magic surrendered their lead giving Boston a chance to win the game.  As Paul Pierce set up for the game winning shot, much like he did earlier in the playoffs against the Heat, he fumbled the ball.  As both teams dove for the ball, time expired setting …

Lakers Should Sit Ailing Bynum

Last night, Andrew Bynum played the worst playoff game of his career. With 2 points and 2 rebounds in under ten minutes of play, it’s become obvious that he isn’t nearly where he should be. He suffered a partial tear of his meniscus during the Thunder series, and has been hobbling about ever since.

With that in mind, I think the Lakers should just bench him for the rest of the Suns’ series, in hopes that his rest will lead to more promising performances in the Finals. Obviously nothing can be …

Mike Brown: Do Not Pass Go and Do Not Collect 4.5 Million Dollars

Well done Cleveland, this is by far your best play in the postseason.
Mike Brown, after 5 seasons and no championships with ‘The Chosen One’ under his command, was fired just before midnight of Sunday evening by the Cavs front office so Brown could not collect 4.5 million buckaroos.
It’s about time! It may have been a prick move to wait this long since it was overdue, but it was the right one. Brown had no idea how to control his team, conduct a consistent game plan, or simply get emotional about …

Suns Win at Home, Still Down 2-1

Suns 118, Lakers 109 (Lakers lead 2-1)
One game at home, one victory for the Suns.  They took care of business like they needed to, to make the series a respectable 2-1 in favor the Lakers.  Amare’ Stoudemire shrugged off all the media talk of him not playing defense but still not playing defense BUT scoring 42 points and grabbing 11 rebounds.  After the first two games, the Suns seemed deflated so it was a good moral victory for this team to and they still have another home game before heading …

Free agent to be Chris Bosh really just can’t keep his mouth shut about his impending free agency.
