Player Trades Send Message to Fans

In the past few days, there have been plenty of rumors flying about the possibility of Amare Stoudemire, Chris Bosh, and Carlos Boozer all being dealt before the trade deadline in mid-February. If you look at the teams that these three players belong to, they are all teams in the playoff hunt.

Bosh’s Toronto Raptors currently sit in 6th place in the Eastern Conference, with 23 wins and 22 losses.
The Phoenix Suns are 26-20, which is good for 7th place in the Western Conference.
The Utah Jazz are a legit 4th place …

Fantasy Update: Forwards

If I made a list of the best forwards in the league, names like LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony, Dirk Nowitzki, and Kevin Garnett would top the charts.  Today I am going to mention three players listed at “Small Forward” and/or “Power Forward” only according to Yahoo! who have had surprisingly well year up to this point.
1.  Kevin Durant – Now I know a lot of people can easily argue that he is one of the top small forwards and I agree 100%.  I am mentioning him because for as good …

Hawks Handle Rockets, Hornets Surge Late Past Blazers, and More!

Hawks 102, Rockets 95
Boy, those Hawks looked impressive. Not only did they snap a 10-game losing streak in Houston (it was Y2K mania last time they won), but also in dominating style. Atlanta kept a double-digit lead in the game until late in the fourth quarter, helped by a nice 21-3 run in the second quarter.
Most starting lineups in the NBA have 5 players. But honestly, Atlanta plays like they have 6 night in and night out. Another solid performance for my pick for 6th man of the year – …

Cavs Squeak Past Heat, Sixers End Streak : ( , and more!!!

Cavs 92, Heat 91
This game matched up two of the games biggest superstars, with LeBron James taking on Dwyane Wade. The difference in this game was one team’s supporting cast, out performing the others’. Both James and Wade had 32 points apiece, but it was the play of their supporting casts that was the difference. The Cavs, playing without Mo Williams and Delonte West, got 15 points including 4 treys from Boobie Gibson. Shaq had a great game as well with 19 points on 9 of 13 shooting. The Heat …

Power Rankings: Week 13

Power Rankings: Week 13
The All-Star starters were announced this week, and some I agree with, others I don’t. Shooter makes an intriguing point about the All Star selection, “Each MVP from a winning team should be selected.” I agree in a sense, but the All-Star Game is a joke. It’s like watching a Harlem Globetrotters game. It means nothing.
Therefore, certain players that make it to has no representation of what they do for their teams. Players like Chris Kaman, Jamal Crawford, Chauncey Billups, Rudy Gay and Andrea Barganni make a …

What to Watch for: Jan 25 – 31

What an incrbl season it has been so far in the NBA. It’s been so exciting to the see the best teams in the league square off (Cavs/Lakers) and the great up-and-coming teams matchup as well (Grizzlies/Thunder). This coming week is more of the same, so don’t miss any of the NBA action this week!
Monday
Cavaliers @ Heat – Last time these two teams met, LeBron said something stupid. So let’s just make sure this is more about the game rather than him opening his mouth.
Magic @ Grizzlies – The Grizz …
