Before I get into tonight’s wrap ups, there were no exciting games as it was blowouts galore last night, and everybody loves that. There were a total of 8 games but only two are worthy to be mentioned. Anyway, let’s get to the action.
Boston 105, Milwaukee 90
Milwaukee has been playing well since Andrew Bogut went down, but tonight, they ran out of gas in the 4th.
Going into the final quarter, the Bucks were only down three, and they were playing well at home, which is usually what they do. However, …
RACE FOR THE 8TH SEED IN THE EASTERN CONFERENCE
Nets 127, Bulls 116 (2 OT)
I can’t quite come up with the words that I should, so let me just start by saying this: I was at this game, and it was AWESOME!
Going into the game, I knew it’d be tough for the Nets because the Bulls are fighting for the eighth seed in the East. The Raptors were also playing on Friday night (turns out they lost too), so the Bulls had a chance to move into the playoff picture. The …
Sadly, we are running out of TNT Thursdays. This is depressing.
Regardless, it feels like they always manage to have either the Celtics/Hawks/Cavs/Lakers/Nuggets playing each other on a Thursday, which is part of the reason I enjoy covering this day. Last night was no different. A lot of playoff implications were on the line.
Nuggets 98, Lakers 96 – Carmelo Anthony once again stated his case for MVP. He has the ability to close out game – on the offensive OR defensive side. In this case, his block of Derek Fisher as …
Nuggets 98, Thunder 94
In the midst of a round end to the season and down 13 points in the fourth quarter, Chauney Billups of the Nuggets made a stand. Mr. Big Shot scored 22 of his 31 points in the second half as the Denver Nuggets did not let the Thunder score a basket in the final 9 minutes of the game. Billups two free throws with a minute to play gave the Nuggets a 96 to 94 lead. Kevin Durant, who finished with 33 points had a chance to …
NBA to OKC Thunder: “My Bad”
Did anyone here watch that incredible Jazz/Thunder game on Tuesday night? It was as entertaining a game as there has been all season, and luckily I got to see most of the end on NBAtv. Only problem was, they went to a commercial instead of continuing their bonus coverage of the game on Fan Night, so the last play of the game wasn’t live. For a non-buzzer beater, this was almost as entertaining as the Duke/Butler NCAA final.
With a second left, Kevin Durant’s arm got …
Jazz 140, Thunder 139 (OT)
WOW, what a game for the ages. Deron Williams dropped a career high 42 including the game winning jumper with a second left on the clock while KD was just 3 points from his career high after dropping 45. This game had a wild ending as KD had 12 points in the last 5 minutes of the game. Jeff Green tied the game near the end of regulation with a huge 3 and the Thunder actually had a chance to win in regulation with .5 left. …
