Bynum Racks up Double-Double in Return from Injury – Lakers Roll Over Suns

Lakers 121 , Suns 102
What elbow?
Andrew Bynum certainly didn’t appear to be hurt tonight. In his return after a missing two games with a strained right elbow, the St. Joseph’s high school star scored 26 points and racked up 15 rebounds. Kobe Bryant chipped in 29 as the Lakers (7-2) blew past the Suns (8-2).
The Suns appeared to be off from the beginning, shooting their lowest field goal percentage this season (36%).  This includes Amare Stoudemire, who shot 2-15 from the floor. Grant Hill was also quiet, scoring 9 points …

Cavaliers Cool off Heat in Miami

Cavaliers 111, Heat 104

With much speculation about where superstars Dwyane Wade, and LeBron James will be playing next season (together?), both put the future on hold by playing a fantastic game. The Cavaliers, coming off of a big win in Orlando last night came out strong and impressed me with this win over the Heat, who have been playing very well this season.
The difference between these two teams was simply that LeBron has a much better team around him than Wade. Wade led all scorers with 36 points to James’ …

CP3.III

Chris Paul, who entered the league in 2005 out of Wake Forest, is without a doubt on pace for a career comparable to the all-time greats. This season, he’s continuing his climb averaging 26.3 ppg and 9.3 apg.
The 24-year-old Olympian probably gets asked what his secret to success has been since entering the NBA. Duh…it’s the shoes! This year he showcases the third installment of his CP3 Jordan’s.

CP3 has been wearing his shoes (CP3.III) all season, but they will be set for retail release in the early months of 2010. …

Shorthanded Spurs Still Win; Boston’s “D” Prevails; Thunder Back to .500

Spurs 92, Mavericks 83
In San Antonio, the Spurs (4-3) beat the Mavs (5-3) without their two superstars, Tim Duncan and Tony Parker.  Richard Jefferson had perhaps his best game as a Spur scoring 29 points and grabbing 7 rebounds.  Manu Ginobili came off the bench to add 13 points for the Spurs.
The Mavericks had a 29 point scorer of their own in Dirk Nowitzki, but he did it on 9-27 shooting.  Jason Terry had another solid game off the bench scoring 19.  Terry is looking like he will be in …

Nets Remain Winless, Cavs Dismantle Magic, Jennings Outplays ‘Melo

Philadelphia 82, New Jersey 79
In the IZOD Center, the Sixers and the Nets continued their close defensive battle that started last week in Philadelphia, and ended in a similar way.  Points were hard to come by with teams shooting 39% (Philadelphia) and 40% (New Jersey) respectively, with both sides playing aggressively and attacking the ball.  Also, both teams have no outside game, unless you count Bobby Simmons, I can’t even keep a straight face typing that.  Excuse me.
Back to the game, the Nets had a few opportunities to take the …

It’s Not About Winning: LeBron Has Outgrown Cleveland

That ratings from the 2009 World Series showed the greatest year-to-year growth in the history of baseball shouldn’t come as much of a surprise to anyone.  The New York Yankees are a worldwide brand and play in the nation’s largest television market and the Philadelphia Phillies were the defending champions.  It was, to say the least, a significant upgrade from the year before, when the then relatively unknown Phillies and small-market Tampa Bay Rays put up the worst Fall Classic ratings in history.
Of all places that saw a dramatic hike …
