Cavaliers 97, Spurs 95

LeBron James sat, resting his body along with a tender ankle. Manu Ginobili dropped 38 points. Spurs win right? Nope. Mo Williams and Delonte West both came up time after time through the late parts of this game, to put the Spurs away. If you’re LeBron, or Coach Mike Brown, this win has to give you a large amount of confidence. What makes it even better, is that the Cavs were down entering the fourth quarter. For whatever reason, Tim Duncan could not get going tonight (13 points, 5 rebounds). The Cavs started both Hickson and Jamison, so it seemed like Duncan was uncomfortable out on the court. George Hill, starting for the injured Tony Parker played great in this game, with 23 points, but the Spurs bench was horrendous. Richard Jefferson had 3 points, and Roger Mason had 2 points, while both played over 25 minutes. Popp is not going to be pleased with this one.

Hornets 135, Warriors 131

Are you kidding me with this score? Are you serious? Well the Warriors continued their ways, playing no defense at all, while shooting as many shots as possible. The Hornets figured, “Hey, let’s copy what they do and see what happens.” Well what happened was that 13 total players from both teams combined scored at least 10 points. Four players from both teams combined had exactly 28 points: David West, Marcus Thornton, Reggie Williams, and Anthony Morrow. Wait. Reggie Williams? Who? He’s yet another NBDL call-up who graduated from VMI who obviously knows how to put the ball in the basket. Keep it up young fella!

Knicks 99, Hawks 98

The Knicks couldn’t buy a three pointer against the Nets, shooting a hilarious 0 of 18 from behind the arc. Well, they must have listened to our podcast, because they shot 10 of 15 from three land this game, and that ended up being the difference as they held of ex-Kinck Jamal Crawford and the late surging Hawks. T-Mac didn’t play in this game, but Danilo Gallinari was red-hot. He shot 9 of 15 from the field, while connecting on 4 of 5 from three land. Combine that with David Lee’s 19 points and 13 rebounds, and you have a chance to win. The Knicks did almost blow this game, as Al Horford hit what seemed to be the game winner. But after review, it was clear that he put up the shot a tick too late.

—

….Other scores (Nets lost, Dallas won, ha)

Mavericks 125, Timberwolves 112

Grizzlies 107, Nets 101
