Suns 110, Spurs 102 (Suns lead series 2-0)
When you have a hot hand, you know it. Sometimes it take a little while to warm up, however.
Phoenix turned white-hot in the second half, shooting 8/12 from three. Channing Frye shot 5/6 from beyond the arc, and Phoenix was able to hold serve on their own court. The game was very close up until the Suns were able …

Lakers 111, Jazz 103 (Lakers lead 2-0)
The writing is on the wall for the Utah Jazz. The Los Angeles Lakers scored 64 of their 111 points in the paint, giving them a 2-0 lead in the series. Utah had no answer on defense as Los Angeles scored lay-up after lay-up. Kobe Bryant led the Lakers with thirty points, but Paul Gasol, Andrew Bynum, and Lamar Odom showed up big time tonight. If Gasol (22 points, 15 rebounds), Bynum (17 points, 14 rebounds), and Odom (11 points, 15 rebounds) play like …

Magic 114, Hawks 71 (Magic lead 1-0)
Domination is an understatement. The Magic looked like a championship team in Game 1 of the 2nd round vs. the Hawks. Out of all the games in the playoffs for whatever reason I followed this one the closest from start to finish (I guess I just had some extra time on my hands). DA-wight Howard was a man posessed. He looked like Shaq on the Magic in the 90′s, quick, dominant and had sick post moves. Howard had 21-12-5 but watching him play I …

Phoenix 111, San Antonio 102 (Suns lead 1-0)
Like I stated in the podcast, Jason Richardson has to go retarded if the Suns think they have any chance to win this series. After last night’s performance, he is on the waiting list for the psychiatric ward.
J-Rich dropped a smooth 27 points on 10-16 shooting and took it the Spurs defense all night. He is the key. When he plays well, the Suns will beat anybody. Let me repeat that: ANYBODY! Richardson can help spread the floor for Steve Nash to drive …

Celtics 104, Cavaliers 86 (Series tied 1-1)
The Celtics give me heart trouble worse than a Double Whopper. Over the years, June Jubilation has given me “Playoff Palpitations”. There seriously is no safe lead when it comes to the Boston Celtics – it’s like they almost enjoy making it interesting.
Up 91-66 with 9 minutes to go, it appeared the C’s had it in the bag. JJ Hickson and LeBron had other ideas, scoring a combined 15 points in 5 minutes. Meanwhile, Boston was held without a basket during this period.
With the …

Lakers 104, Jazz 99 (Lakers lead 1-0)
Going into Game 1 of this series, some felt the emotionally draining close out game the Lakers won on Friday in OKC could result in a first game upset at the Staples Center. Close, but no cigar, Utah. The Lakers came out to a demanding lead, which the Jazz fought back to take back. But the Lakers once again showed us that hustle and determination is still not enough to beat their core superstars in the end.
It only took 20 seconds and we were …

Hawks 95, Bucks 74 (Hawks win series 4-3)
Before this series even had started, most (including myself) had written the Bucks off. No one gave them a chance after Andrew Bogut went down for the season especially when they were matched up with an uber-athletic team in the Atlanta Hawks. But with great athleticism and raw ability, came lackluster play. This allowed the Bucks to actually go up 3-2 in this series. But just like in game 6, the Bucks looked out of it and didn’t have the offense to back …
