Wizards Get ‘Spur’red, JR Swish Too Much Offense, Webster’s Great Game

Spurs 106, Wizards 84
I don’t understand what all the hub-bub was about in the beginning of the season when everyone was telling me the Wizards are making the playoffs.  No they aren’t and the reason is because they aren’t good.  They have some great players on their team in Arenas, Butler and Jamison but they just don’t play well as a team.  Arenas goes 7-23 every night it seems and Jamison and Bulter are almost identical offensive players.  Not to mention Arenas is one of the most selfish players in …

Cavs Bring the D, Bucks Move to 8-3, Nets Can’t Get Victory

Cavaliers 97, 76ers 91
DE-FENSE. DE-FENSE.
That’s the headline coming out of Cleveland on Saturday night, as the Cavs hammered down the D in the final period for a six-point win over the Sixers.
We all know that the Philly offense isn’t anything to go crazy about, but it’s safe to say that even they thought they could come away with a win in this one. Going into the fourth quarter, the Sixers held a 6 point lead, but the squandered it due to their lack of scoring from the intense Cavs D. …

Harden Impresses, Dallas Thwarts Late Comeback, and Butler Leads Upset

Oklahoma City 127, Washington 108
James Harden, Welcome to the NBA.
Harden continuing on his 24 point effort against the Magic with 25 point output to backup Russell Westbrook, who also had a great night: 26 points and 7 assists. The Thunder (7-6) starters stepped up big time since their terrible performance the other night against Orlando, led by ‘unguardable’ Kevin Durant who dropped 35 with Jeff Green supplying a stellar first half 17 points and 10 rebounds to then finish with 19 and 14.
The Thunder needed that tonight to extinguish Washington’s …

Orlando Repeats Last Year’s Magic; Smith, Bosh, James, Gay Lead Respective Teams to Close Wins

Magic 83, Celtics 78

I think it’s safe to say that one team just wanted it more on Friday in Boston.
The Magic came out on a rampage on offense and defense as they held a 29-13 lead after the first quarter. Granted, the Celtics came back and returned the favor in the second quarter (27-14 Celtics advantage). But that’s not the point here. The Magic came into a hostile environment after having some road struggles this year and made a statement. You may have thought that the Celtics would come …

Lakers Flex their Pau-er against Bulls

Yes…the title included a sad attempt to make “Pau-er” sound like “power.”
Lakers 108, Bulls 93

Through their first 11 games, the Lakers have looked pretty good. Losing two of those games, the cry from most Lakers fans was to “wait til’ Pau gets back.” Welp, I guess those cries were true as Pau looked spectacular in his season debut. Pau had 24 points and 13 rebounds on 9 of 15 shooting. The biggest factor of having Gasol back in the starting lineup, is that Phil Jackson can now bring ultimate …

No Paul? No Problem; Hornets Take Care of Suns

Hornets 110, Suns 103
Rest up, Chris Paul. Darren Collison’s got your back.
The rookie out of UCLA knocked down two clutch shots to lead the Hornets over the Suns at the New Orleans Arena. Despite only shooting 4-15 from the floor, Collison nailed a long 3 point shot and a finger roll as time was running out to preserve the lead.
Both teams had hot shooters from 3. Jared Dudley was 5-6 from beyond the arc, and Peja looked like the old version of himself, going 7-11. Dudley finished with 17 points …

Hawks Continue Dominance, Dirk Knocks off the Spurs, and more…

(That’s G= Great performance. That’s Pee= Piss poor)
Hawks 105, Heat 90

Well, it’s official. The Atlanta Hawks are turning into an Eastern Conference power. This win over the Miami gives them six straight. Joe Johnson poured in 30 points, while Josh Smith did everything else, leading the Hawks in rebounds, steals, assists, and blocks.
That’s  G: Atlanta had 44 points in the paint, compared to Miami’s 28.
That’s Pee: Quentin Richardson took three shots the whole game. All three were three pointers.
Sixers 86, Bobcats 84
I have to give the Sixers credit. Though they’ve …
