Kobe’s 42 Pace Lakers, Pistons’ Streak Snapped, Suns Roll

Lakers 96, Bulls 87
Kobe Bryant has a broken finger on his shooting hand; he also dropped 20 points on the Bulls in the 1st quarter and finished the game with 42 points.  It was Kobe’s 5th 40 point+ game this year and 104th for his career.  The Lakers shot 4-20 from 3-point land and Kobe had 8 turnovers, but they still won the game – that is how good these guys are.  For the Bulls, Joakim Noah had a 20 rebound game including 14 offensive boards.  That was basically the …

Hack-A-Howard Beasts Over Pacers, Nuggets and Clippers Roll

Magic 106, Pacers 98
Sorry Jim O’Brien, but lets try a different gameplan than fouling Dwight Howard every time he touched the ball. This game was ugly, as both sides nearly came to blows on a hard foul by Troy Murphy in the fourth quarter.
However, Dwight stepped up. He grabbed 23 rebounds and still managed to score 21 points in the win for the Magic. Due to the concentration on Howard down low, it left lots of open looks for Vince Carter (28 points) and J.J. Redick (13 points, three 3PM), …

Celtics 110, Grizzlies 105
It was close till the end but Ray Allen and the Celts were too much for the upstart Grizzlies. Allen hit a three to ice the game as the shot clock expired in the final minute to ice the  C’s 11th straight victory.
Ray Ray found his stroke hitting five of six threes and scoring 18 points.  Paul Pierce put up 19 of his own and led six Celtics in double figures.

Grizz Smash the Heat, Cavs and Spurs Roll Easily

Memphis 118, Heat 90
Rudy Gay had a career night as the Memphis Grizzlies stomped on the Miami Heat Sunday night. The Grizzlies have reached double-digit wins ten games faster than their abysmal campaign from a year ago.
Gay had 41 points, a career high and had a couple of Jordan-esque highlight real dunks. Memphis has won three of their last four now led by Gay’s consistent scoring numbers.
Marc Gasol continued his hot start to the season getting his 7th double-double. Gasol dropped16 points and grabbed 15 boards as he totally outmatched …

Raptors Take Advantage Early, Hawks Drain Nets With 3-Point Barrage

Raptors 101, Rockets 88
Sometimes it doesn’t matter how hard you fight for three quarters of the game, but if you come out as slow as the Rockets did on Sunday afternoon, you aren’t going to win.
In Toronto, the Raptors outscored the Rockets 32-17 in the first period to snap a two-game losing streak. Chris Bosh scored 27 points with 6 rebounds to power the Raptors. Hedo Turkoglu added 23. The Rockets were led by Carl Landry’s 25, Luis Scola’s 21, and Aaron Brooks’ 20 points.
However, in my opinion, Aaron Brooks …

Dirk Drops Game-Winner in Dallas, Pacers Pull Out Improbable Win in DC

Mavericks 98, Bobcats 97 (OT)
It looked like the Charlotte Bobcats were going to pick up the franchise’s first ever win over the Dallas Mavericks, but that’s when Dirk Nowitzki said, “I don’t think so!”
Dirk hit two jumpers in the waning seconds of the game, including one with only 1.8 seconds left in overtime to give the Mavs their 17th win of the season. Boris Diaw was all over Nowitzki for the final basket, but Dirk’s size was simply too much for Diaw to handle.
Before overtime even started, it was Dirk’s …
