Short-handed Celts No Match for Suns; Hornets Hold Off Late Heat Surge; Jazz Barely Beat T-Wolves; Blazers and 76ers Win

No Paul Pierce, no Kevin Garnett, big problem.  The Celtics, without two of their big three, were no match for the run and gun Suns.  Amare Stoudemire had a big first half scoring 18 of his 26 points while grabbing 7 rebounds in the process.  Channing Frye provided the second half spark scoring 26 points, as well shooting a red hot six of ten from downtown, and grabbing ten rebounds.  Steve Nash had a quiet night scoring 11 points and dishing out 8 dimes.

Kobe’s 44 Holds-Off Warriors; Hornets Lose Despite CP3′s Triple-Double; Bulls and Spurs Win

Playing a fast pace game to keep up with the Warriors, Kobe Bryant had his 103rd 40-point performance to lead the Lakers to a 124-118 win against the Warriors. Bryant finished with 44 points and also dished out eleven assists to complete the double-double. Pau Gasol dominated the paint scoring 27 points and ripping down 12 rebounds. Lamar Odom also had his own double-double scoring scoring 11 points and grabbing 11 rebounds.

In the first game of a home-and-home series, the Cavaliers showed their dominance by beating the Hawks at the Phillips Arena. It was a tight game with the Hawks down one at the start of the final quarter. The Cavs held the Hawks to a meager 10 points in the fourth to pull away and earn the hard fought victory. Celtics Blow 18 Point Lead to Warriors, Sixers and Kings Cruise

Despite an 18 point lead, the Celtics could not capitalize on the early advantage.
The C’s committed 25 turnovers, which kept the Warriors in the game by scoring 23 points off them. Monta Ellis continues to break out, playing the entire game and scoring 37 points, which included 2 clutch free throws.
Rajon Rondo did his best to preserve the lead, scoring 30 of his own and collecting 15 assists. Ray Allen also chipped in 24, but did not shoot well from 3 (1/7).
