Gone Fishin’

Remember that terrible movie with Joe Pesci and Danny Glover and all they did was go fishing. Well this is the complete opposite of that.
Corey Brewer had always shown he was a high riser at Florida, but Derek Fish-er found out first hand of Mr. Brewer’s HIGH RISING ability. It’s too bad though, Fisher has always been a solid defensive player, but maybe he should’ve sat this one out. Oh wait, he did, Brewer put him there. Ahhhhhh Got em, cause you’ve been POSTERIZED.
Maybe Fisher should have stayed home in …

Smooth as the Other Side of the Pillow

My boy Ray Allen has done it! He surpassed 20,000 big ones with 18 on Thursday against the Washington Wizards in a big win for the Celtics to continue their 9-game winning streak. Allen, in his 14th season, continues to play at a high level and as his biggest fan; I could not be prouder. His next career achievement, besides another NBA Championship, is breaking Reggie Miller’s three point record (2,596) Allen is at 2,301, including Thursday’s performance, and if he can stay healthy, he will definitely break the record. …

Mark Cuban, Table-ized

I used to be a big wrestling fan and early Monday evening I was talking to my Grandfather on the phone and he told me he was about to watch WWE Raw.  It brought me back to the time when I would watch with him so I decided to turn it on NOT knowing that Mark Cuban was a special announcer, or something like that.  Just in case you missed it Mark Cuban got kicked where a man should never be kicked and TABLE-IZED by some new Irish wrestler.  I …

Kobe vs. Wade: Unbelievable Offense Tops Stifling Defense

Before time expired, Kobe Bryant got off an off-balance 3-pointer just in time that banked in for a 108-107 Los Angeles Lakers win over the Miami Heat on Friday in LA. As you can see he drilled this buzzer beater over Dwyane Wade, despite his tremendous defensive effort. The amazing thing that you can see from this photo is that no matter how much Kobe is fading to his left, he is still squared to the basket making his buzzer beater possible.
Below are quotes from Kobe and Wade after the …

Stop Being ‘AWFUL’

A gentlemenly conversation between opponents:
Trevor Ariza: Chris Kaman, you are trying to block my shot but you are so AWFUL, stop being AWFUL. You can’t help it, you were born in AWFULNESS. Try and play like this. I am so HUGE, you cannot stop the HUGENESS. See how I rise above you and throw down in front of your family and friends. Too Bad that you play with the Clippers in front of 245 fans. Actually, this is good because we don’t want the AWFUL to spread. They want to …

The Look of Defeat (more specifically, 0-17)

On Sunday night, the Nets became the third team in history to start an NBA season 0-17. They are running out of excuses now, as players continue to return from injury. With a loss on Wednesday at home to the Mavericks, the Nets would own the NBA record of worst winless starts ever on their own.
I’ve been on some pretty bad teams in my basketball playing days (to none of my fault of course), but I can safely say I’ve never lost 17 straight games.
This must be what death feels …

Ugly 1 vs Ugly 2

Since both of these players are not aesthetically pleasing, one has to gain the upper hand…
