Posterized: Lopez Edition – Robin Over Twin Brook

Wednesday night in Phoenix has to have been the first time in history that twin brothers squared off against each other in the center position. I’m not even going to look that up because it just sounds crazy. Nevertheless, Brook and Robin Lopez battled it out, literally. There was one instance where Robin dunked on Brook and then right down the floor Brook dunked on Robin. However, Robin won dunk of the night for his SLEDGEHAMMER over his slightly older twin Brook.
I will now ‘double your pleasure’ with two views …

2010 Sprite Dunk Contest Participants Released

The 2010 Sprite Slame Dunk Contestants were released today inside of Penn Station in NYC.  A few days ago it was announced that DeMar DeRozan and Eric Gordon will star in the first ever dunk-off which will take place February 12th during the Rookie Challenge and Youth Jam event.  Joining either DeRozan or Gordon are 2009 defending champion (as well as 2006 champ) Nate Robinson, alongside Gerald Wallace and SHANNON BROWN.  I put Shannon Brown in caps because the dude pulls out dunk contest dunks in regular season games!
It will …

Posterized of the Week

This video is straight from NBA.com and it’s the best dunks of the past week. There are so many great POSTERIZED moments in the video I didn’t want to create 5 posts of youtube videos so I’m just plugging this whole thing. The best part of this video is 3 of the dunks are vs. the Nets! Also I feel that dunks 7-9 might be better than 2-4, just watch.

Delonte West and Tyrus Thomas Dunk Off

On the same night in different games Delonte West and Tyrus Thomas both had monster dunks.  On a fast break, West went up and dunked on Josh Smith, an amazing shot blocker.  In another game, Tyrus Thomas came from nowhere and dunked right on Josh McRoberts’ head.
Which one do you think was better?

Air Juwan? Not quite.

Juwan Howard, at nearly 37 years old, goes for a dunk in Tuesday’s game at Dallas. He looks like the Air Jordan logo right? Well, he missed the dunk – so much for that idea!

Seriously though, I give the guy credit for not giving up on his career. He has made a good amount of money over the years, but he still feels like he’s got something left in the tank.
Just make sure all your dunks are two handed for now on, Juwan.

Agent 0 vs. Front Rim in ‘The Battle for the Ball’

It’s hard to tell whether Elton Brand is frightened, excited, or in utter disbelief. Either way, he wants his ball back from Glibert Arenas so he can go home.
I actually think of this as Arenas playing his usual role of ‘Agent o’ and Elton is the bad guy, ‘Front Rim’ (due to his constant struggles with making jump shots). The ball is the priceless gem of this action/drama flick that both strive for throughout the game – whoops, I mean movie.
Notice how Agent 0 is way more laid back than Front Rim. …

Jeff Green to the HOLE

Austin Daye, I’ve never heard of you before, but you will now live in infamy because you’ve been POSTERIZED.
In Friday’s game in Oklahoma City, Thunder G Jeff Green nearly jumps over two Pistons, but one wisely gets out of the way. So that leaves Daye to lie where no man wants to be – underneath a thunder making SLAM!
