Last season’s NBA Most Improved Player, Danny Granger, is going to be out for at least 4 weeks with a torn right plantar fascia. For those of you who don’t know that is, it’s the tissue that attaches the heel of the foot to the toes. Sounds scary. Portland Trail Blazer’s center Greg Oden is likely done for the year, again, with a fractured left patella. Oden jumped up on Saturday to block a layup attempt by Aaron Brooks of the Rockets and when he planted and jumped that is when the fracture occurred. They have lost 4 games by three points or less, and two of them by heartbreaking buzzer beaters.
On the other side, they have not …

Last year his role significantly increased on the team but this year he knew his role and that was SCORE any means possible. Lou Williams broke his jaw on November 24th vs. the Celtics which will put him on the self for 6-8 weeks. This is a huge loss for the Sixers because they looked lost half the time on offense and that’s when Sweet Lou …

As if the Wizards season isn’t going bad enough, by starting 3-9, now their owner Abe Pollin passed away today. The cause of death wasn’t released at this particular time but Pollin suffered from supranuclear palsy, a rare brain disorder that affects movement and balance. Pollin bought the Baltimore Bullets 45 years ago and in 1973 moved them to Washington and into the Capital Centre, the arena Pollin and his construction company had built.
Pollin was also responsible for changing the name of the Washington Bullets to the Washington Wizards. There was a name …
