LeBron to Change His Number

LeBron James has done it folks.  He officially put in the paperwork to change his number from 23 to 6 as he speculated back in November.
I’ve done it,” James said. “I already sent it in. I’m going to be number 6.”
Every single Knicks’ fan’s heart stopped for 30 seconds after reading this thinking since he is going for a number change he will stay with Cleveland no?  Not necessarily, the jerseys aren’t be made just yet so if LeBron chooses to leave the Cavs he has to submit the paperwork …

Iverson Officially Done as Sixer…

The 2009-2010 season has been full of ups and downs for Allen Iverson. First he signed a deal with the young, promising Memphis Grizzlies. Yet, just a week into the season, his contract was bought out, as he wasn’t happy with his role. A short time later, he was reunited with the franchise that he called home for so many years. Emotional at the press conference, it seemed Iverson was finally happy, and that the suffering Sixers might again return to glory…er, mediocrity at least.

Fast-forward some time, and Iverson’s daughter …

Shaq Done for the Regular Season; Al Jefferson Suspended

Shaq is heading to Baltimore on Monday to take care of his severly sprained thumb which he injured against the Celtics last week going up for a dunk when he was fouled.  On one hand it’s funny because Shaq sprained his thumb and acted like nothing even happened, but if I had done something like that you’d know it; that’s why Shaq is the closest thing to Superman and I’m sitting here writing about it.
Shaq is having surgery on his thumb and the typical recovery time is 6-9 weeks and there are …

Newest Wizard, Howard, Out For the Season

Josh Howard, the big catch for the Wizards in the Caron Butler swap, is out for the remainder of this season with a torn ACL.  I know the ACL is a tough injury to recover from and a long recovery as well so Howard may miss some of next season (but that’s just speculation, by me).  Howard torn the ACL in last night’s game in the 1st quarter and has been battling ankle injuries all season long.  There is no deny that Howard has lots of talent but he hasn’t …

Ronnie Brewer To Memphis!

I’m just as surprised with this move as Ronnie Brewer is in this photo.  The Memphis Grizzlies will trade a first rounder to the Utah Jazz for swingman Ronnie Brewer.  From an offensive standpoint Brewer won’t do much with the Grizzles especially since Mayo, Gay and now Brewer all play the 2/3 combo guard position.  Brewer is more known for his defense and is averaging over 1.5 steals per game for his career.
You have to believe defensive reasons are why the Grizzlies were late players for Brewer.  The Grizzlies are fighting …

Tyrus Thomas Dealt to the Bobcats in Exchange for Murray, Law, and 1st Rounder

The Bobcats were looking for front court help and it looks as though they’re going to get it. Charlotte will be shipping the expiring contracts of Flip Murray and Acie Law (in addition to a first round pick) to Chicago for Tyrus Thomas. The Bobcats are currently in the playoff hunt, and were looking for front court stability to put their team over the top.
Chicago has a solid young core as well, but they are trying to remain in the playoff hunt, while also positioning themselves nicely for the offseason. …
