Power Rankings: Week 11
The Carmelo Anthony talks are heating up and it’s about to go down, unless Melo has something to say about it. Well, folks, he holds all of the pieces. If he says no, it’s all over. And here is the kicker, he is! The trade is not going to go down. I am going to continue my rant in an updated version of the Melo Hour. That’s why it was so short. Tomorrow, I am going to finish it.

Power Rankings: Week 10
Sorry about last week everybody, the Internet was down due to the 32 inch blizzard. It was difficult to get any posts or tweets out. Again I apologize.
The injury bug hit some of the best teams in the league and concern is among them, especially Dallas. Losing Caron Butler for the rest of the season is tragic. The team had a chance to make so noise in the West. Kevin Garnett calf strain was only a scare, so Boston will be fine. …

Power Rankings: Week 8
This week, we saw the Knicks fall hard after they got knocked to the canvas by the best teams in the league. The Spurs continue to win, and the Heat really do seem to have it. The Celtics look great, even without Rondo and nobody is talking about the Lakers. Never thought that would happen. Well, maybe, I do live on the East Coast. They are still talking about the Yankees missing out on Cliff Lee and now, Zach Greinke. Anyway, …

Power Rankings: Week 7
A can’t remember the last time so many teams had this many winning streaks. 6 clubs have run off at least 5 in a row and some look like there far off from letting it come to an immediate end. The Spurs are the first team to hit the 20 win mark but will they carry this high octane energy throughout the year. When will San Antonio slow down or can they? Maybe, they are this good. I still don’t pick this …

Power Rankings: Week 6
This week the Spurs continue their hot streak, the Lakers get out of their little slump, the Magic come down with the flu and the Mavs keep winning. Denver is almost unbeatable at home, Utah is still strong after a light week, and the Thunder continue to win with or without Kevin Durant. If you didn’t listen to the podcast, I touched on Russell Westbrook near the forefront of the MVP race, but no one can take that away from Dirk Nowitzki at the moment. …

Power Rankings: Week 5
The season is more than under way and things are starting to unravel. First, is everyone realizing they were completely wrong about the Miami Heat? Can ESPN please stop this ridiculous ‘Heat Index’ nonsense? It’s starting to become one punctuated joke after another. Talk of a 70 win team is long gone and the Vegas over/under of 65 is comedic. They have a way to many problems that don’t even include their unbalanced line up. The finger is already being pointed at others, …

Power Rankings: Week 4
Entering the fourth week in the NBA, a few teams rebounded nicely out of some doubt and negativity. Chicago, Portland, New York, Toronto, and Oklahoma City are just a few of the teams to fit in that category. It’s early and there is a lot of basketball left, but Chicago and Oklahoma City really illustrated what they are capable of. The Bulls are without Carlos Boozer, had a tough early schedule, and still adapting to Tom Thibodeaus system but Derrick Rose is proving himself to …
