What’s Bigger Than a Game? A Meaningless Record

On Saturday night, long-time Cavaliers C Zydrunas Ilgauskas sat the bench against the Mavs. Is this news? Well, ask LeBron James if it is. Done asking? Well, then you know that it is NOW news, because ‘The King’ said so.
Head coach Mike Brown chose to sit Big Z to favor a smaller, quicker lineup that he noticed was playing well against the Mavericks. What’s the big deal? Well, Ilgauskas is currently tied with current Cavs GM Danny Ferry with 723 games played with the franchise. For whatever reason, this really …

Must Watch Video (Unless You Like the Clippers)

This is by far the funniest basketball video I have ever watched.  It’s only 2 minutes long so please watch the entire thing and laugh out loud.  It’s ok to do that because it’s obviously fake.

LeBron Loves a Parade…Just Not This One

The biggest non-news of the day belongs to none other than LeBron James. The King is infamously known as the biggest front-runner baseball fan of the present day. In 2007, he was found in the stands of a Yankees/Indians playoff game in Cleveland wearing a Yankees hat. Keep in mind that this guy was born and raised in Ohio and he has no NY roots. So what’s the non-news? A Cavaliers spokesperson said that James would not be attending the NY Yankees World Series championship parade on Friday, even though …

Raptors Plan on Honoring VC in Toronto

The Toronto Raptors are celebrating there 15th year in the NBA and their most prized possession is Vince Carter (other than Chris Bosh today). For the celebration, the Raptors are planning on honoring Vince Carter. I’m sure when this was first reported by the Toronto Sun everyone was flipping out. Raptors GM Bryan Colangelo said, “Everybody wants to know how we can do it, but Vince is part of the history here. Most of the people that he had problems with here are gone.”
The Orlando Magic are visiting the Raptors …

J.J. Redick? Nope. DJ Redick

J.J. Redick looks to break into the rap scene as part of a ‘rap supergroup’, led by a single to be released by the end of the year.
J.J. Redick = Great Shooter.
J.J. Redick = Great Rapper.

Wait.
What?
I don’t know if the “great” part is true, but J.J. Redick has shed light on the fact that behind the jump shot, he possesses musical ambitions.
Redick will reportedly be a part of a “rap super group” that will release a single by the end of 2009 entitled “Waste Management.” No name for this “super …

Remember Me? Marbury Kicked Out of Seat at Knicks Game

Saturday night’s home opener for the Knicks at Madison Square Garden went from laugher to thriller as the Knicks came back from a 17-point deficit to force OT (although, eventually lost). Who was there for the start of the game, but did not stay for the whole thing – former Knicks G Stephon Marbury.
According to a story on espn.com, Marbury was not only at the game, but he did almost everything he could to distract attention from the game onto himself. Oh yeah, and this was all in the first …

Jordan’s Son Follows His Father’s Shoes… ‘Hrbl’y

For those of you who didn’t know, Michael Jordan has a son, Marcus, who plays college basketball for the University of Central Florida. And for those of you who didn’t know, UCF has a contract with Adidas which forces their players to lace up in their sponsor’s shoes.
Why is this a big deal? Well, Marcus Jordan doesn’t feel the school’s six-year, $3 million contract with Adidas is very important to the school. Marcus is refusing to wear Adidas shoes in favor of his father’s Air Jordans, which could very well …
