Heat Scorch Hawks, Clippers Upset Blazers

Heat 92, Hawks 75

In tonight’s NBATV special, the Hawks came out incredibly flat, while the Heat came out firing on all cylinders and never looked back. Miami had a 16 point lead entering the second quarter, while Michael Beasley poured in 20 of his 22 total points in the first half. In the second half, Dwyane Wade finished the deal with 28 points and 8 rebounds. The bad news for Atlanta is that they’ve now lost four straight.
Jamal Crawford had a solid 23 points off the bench, but it obviously wasn’t …

The Christmas Day Games Preview

In recent years, a new tradition has cemented the ideal Christmas day for my family. After opening up our presents, eating food, and spending time with family, we all sit around the TV and watch some solid NBA action. They run into a very hot Celtics team who have won ten in a row.  Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen have shed their early season struggles and Rajon Rondo is still improving with every game.  The Celtics now have the best record in the league and are definitely the team to …

The ‘Answer’ to Brotherly Love

Tonight in the city of brotherly love, Allen ‘The Answer’ Iverson returns to the Philadelphia Sixers as they host one of his old teams, the Denver Nuggets. Iverson, after much contemplation and tribulation, finds himself back where it all began, with so much history, so much love, so much hate but only one Answer. He is the heart and soul of Philadelphia. Not since Isiah Thomas, have we seen a player alter our perception of the importance of height with the focus put on quickness, desire, and most importantly, heart. …

To Dunk or Not to Dunk – LeBron Goes Back on His Word

After making headlines and creating a lot of ‘hoop’la (pun absolutely intended) during last year’s All-Star Game in Phoenix, in regard to joining the squad for the 2010 Slam Dunk Contest, LeBron James is now taking back his word. After Wednesday night’s game against the Suns, James said he is now only “50-50″ in terms of his chances of participating in the event.
We all know what that means – there is NO WAY he is doing this event. Just from personal experience, and I’m sure each of you can vouch …
