On Thursday, the Lakers won Game 1 pretty easily due to their aggressiveness and ability to exploit the Celtics’ age through owning the paint on offense and defense. Other than aggressiveness, the rest seems pretty objective, right? What I mean is, if the Celtics are too old and they aren’t as big as the Lakers, then can they overcome that in any other game this series?
Doesn’t sound like it to me, and doesn’t sound like it to Lakers forward Pau Gasol. But does it sound like it to anyone else …

Some may call it a rematch. Some may call it the greatest rivalry in basketball. I call it a pretty incredible June Jubilation matchup.
No, I don’t mean the Celtics playing the Lakers is incredible. I actually am focusing on the Boston Celtics, who EVERYONE wrote off to be too old and washed up, actually making the NBA Finals. Just think about it. In January, the basketball world saw the Celtics as a team that could not even run up and down the court, let alone stay healthy. Boy, what a …

June Jubilation is FINALLY HERE!!!
The conference finals have come and gone and we are left with the two most storied franchises in the history of the NBA. Not only that, but this may be the most intense rivalry in the history of the NBA too. Celtics/Lakers – I just like the ring of that – and so does the NBA, I’m sure. This edition of News and Rumors has a large focus on an NBA player’s complaint and his wish to leave to town. And as always, there are some nice tidbits.
Be Careful What You Wish For
If you were an NBA player, making tens of millions of dollars and you averaged a mere 11.3 points per game, would you demand a trade?
Ask Hedo Turkoglu, because apparently this is not a big deal to him.
Last summer, Hedo accepted a contract offer from the Portland Trailblazers. Then, he chose to back of that deal …

Last night, Andrew Bynum played the worst playoff game of his career. With 2 points and 2 rebounds in under ten minutes of play, it’s become obvious that he isn’t nearly where he should be. He suffered a partial tear of his meniscus during the Thunder series, and has been hobbling about ever since.
With that in mind, I think the Lakers should just bench him for the rest of the Suns’ series, in hopes that his rest will lead to more promising performances in the Finals. Obviously nothing can be …

Well done Cleveland, this is by far your best play in the postseason.
Mike Brown, after 5 seasons and no championships with ‘The Chosen One’ under his command, was fired just before midnight of Sunday evening by the Cavs front office so Brown could not collect 4.5 million buckaroos.
It’s about time! It may have been a prick move to wait this long since it was overdue, but it was the right one. Brown had no idea how to control his team, conduct a consistent game plan, or simply get emotional about …

Chris Bosh’s Hit List
Free agent to be Chris Bosh really just can’t keep his mouth shut about his impending free agency.
Bosh continues to talk about becoming a free agent, from asking his twitter friends what he should do to now listing a group of teams that he is willing to play for. It is reported Bosh’s agent gave the Raptors a list of potential teams he would play for next season, in case they wanted to …
