Sure the summer didn’t pan out like I had hoped for the LeBron-less Nets but it wasn’t a complete failure. The Nets drafted well back in June to set themselves up with a bright future in a young PF Derrick Favors (or use him as trade bait), they brought in some free agents who were cheap and can score at will and also brought along a head coach with one of the highest winning percentages of all time (in his short head coaching tenure). If you read my article about …

If you didn’t hear the news that dropped this week, NBA Elite (Live) is being delayed indefinitely. NBA Elite was supposed to revolutionize the way gamers played basketball by allowing a “true skill” component to it’s play style. Instead when the demo dropped last week we saw YouTube videos pop up showing players getting glitched. The most infamous video found Andrew Bynum of the Los Angeles Lakers stuck standing in the middle of the floor looking like Jesus. Other videos showed a point guard skating around the floor dribbling without …

There are reports coming out of Washington that Gilbert Arenas “faked” an injury going into last night’s preseason game. Arenas told his coaches that the knee that has cost him to miss a lot of the past three years was bothering him. As a Nets season ticket holder I am disappointed that the New Jersey Nets lost out in the LeBron James sweepstakes. I am not the hugest LBJ fan, but I have to admit that it would have been exciting to watch him play 41 times a year. A lot of articles that have been circulating the web, newspapers, and magazines have been bashing “King James,” and they have every right. …

With all of the hysteria over LeBron and free agency, everyone has had an opinion. Below, is a post from G’s dad on why history shows Miami should be careful what they wish for.
The recent acquisition of LeBron James by the Miami Heat takes me back to 1977 when my beloved Philadelphia76ers acquired Julius “Dr. J” Erving from the New York Nets. At the time we had a nice roster consisting of former ABA stars like George McGinnis, hometown hero Jelly Bean Bryant (Kobe’s Daddy), homeboy hero (Lloyd (World) Free, and my …
