One More Trade: Nets Upgrade IZOD for Prudential Center

The NBA trade deadline has passed, but there is one more trade to report, one that is near and dear to my heart.
The New Jersey Nets have traded in the keys to the IZOD Center to play in the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ. This news was originally brought up by The Basher a few months ago, but at that point it was mostly hearsay and hopeful aspirations that they would stay there instead of moving to Brooklyn.
Well, Basher, I think we finally have our new home – at least …

Awkwardddddd.. Amare Remains a Sun

After weeks of speculation and almost no shot of staying in Phoenix, Amare Stoudemire was not traded and will remain a member of the Suns. Thursday morning, it was reported that Amare had no suitors because of the lack of talent that the Suns would recieve from any other team (like the Heat) and Jamison was already acquired by the …

The Knicks are a-dealin!!!
The Knicks, looking to add even more expiring contracts, are trying to finalize a deal that will bring Tracy McGrady to NYC. In addition to this, the Knicks are also looking to trade for Tyrus Thomas in exchange for Al Harrington. Insiders have reported that it is likely for both of these deals to happen. What’s hilarious to me, is that …

What to Watch for: Feb 15 – 21

The All-Star break has come and gone, but that doesn’t mean there’s nothing to look forward to in the second half… the playoffs are coming! But before that, we have the trading deadline, which comes on Thursday of this week. Who knows what will happen, but I’m ready!

Monday
No games scheduled – use that time to watch my boys #1 Kansas play #23 Texas Tech on ESPN,(Kansas!).
Tuesday
Suns @ Grizzlies – Welcome back to the second half… great matchup here! I wonder if Amare Stoudemire will even be on the team for this …

Dontletshannonbrowndunk.com

WOW.  I called that one, what a huge disappointment for Shannon Brown.  I’d say 80% of people I spoke to about the dunk contest had him bagged in as the winner.  I’ll be honest, I think I had him in the finals but I knew he wouldn’t win.  That was such a big let down.  Last year at this time LeBron James was talking (we all know he loooooves talking) about being the dunk contest and one year later we get this lame ass event where Shannon Brown is just …

All-Star Weekend Preview & Predictions!

After over three months of NBA battles night-in and night-out, it’s time for those who make the headlines to make some more as the best of the best get together in Dallas for All-Star Weekend. Jerry Jones has given the keys to Cowboys Stadium to David Stern for the weekend to host the biggest event in NBA history. Everything’s bigger in Texas, right? So I think the expectations are pretty high – and we can’t wait!
Friday Night
Rookie Challenge (9pm TNT)
The Rookie-Sophomore game is normally a one-sided affair owned by the …

Could the All-Star Game (in Dallas) be Snowed Out??

Well, no, it won’t be. But while I have your attention I might as well explain the concerns that are real around this situation.

There are some travel issues due to snow storms that apparently are going on all over the U.S. The east coast got hit so hard that the Nets were just under their average attendance at 1,016 spectators. Well, it’s not the same storm, but even Dallas is feeling some chill. By the end of Thursday night, the Dallas/Fort Worth area is expected to accumulate 4-6 inches of …
