WOW. I called that one, what a huge disappointment for Shannon Brown. I’d say 80% of people I spoke to about the dunk contest had him bagged in as the winner. I’ll be honest, I think I had him in the finals but I knew he wouldn’t win. That was such a big let down. Last year at this time LeBron James was talking (we all know he loooooves talking) about being the dunk contest and one year later we get this lame ass event where Shannon Brown is just …

After over three months of NBA battles night-in and night-out, it’s time for those who make the headlines to make some more as the best of the best get together in Dallas for All-Star Weekend. Jerry Jones has given the keys to Cowboys Stadium to David Stern for the weekend to host the biggest event in NBA history. Everything’s bigger in Texas, right? So I think the expectations are pretty high – and we can’t wait!

Well, no, it won’t be. But while I have your attention I might as well explain the concerns that are real around this situation.
There are some travel issues due to snow storms that apparently are going on all over the U.S. The east coast got hit so hard that the Nets were just under their average attendance at 1,016 spectators. Rick Pitino Back to the NBA?
What a crazy Thursday morning for Rick Pitino, the New Jersey Nets, and media outlets around America. Current college coach of Louisville Rick Pitino was originally rumored to be scheming a comeback to the sidelines in the NBA. I first heard this morning that he reached out to the Nets, either Rod Thorn or prospective owner Mikhail Prokhorov, on …

Tonight the New Jersey Nets faced off against the Milwaukee Bucks at the Izod Center in Rutherford, New Jersey. For our readers around the country and the world who may not be aware of this, a blizzard hit the New Jersey/New York area late last night. The snow continued all day forcing many New Jersyians to stay home. At game time there was only about 1,000 fans in attendance so the Nets allowed everyone to move down and watch the game courtside! A great gesture by the Nets considering that …

Lace up your….ice cleats?
The Harlem Globetrotters took a little field trip to Manhattan on Tuesday to play a game of basketball, on a hockey rink in Central Park. The most famous traveling team in the world played on ice for the first time in their 84-year history to play their greatest rivals, the Washington Generals.
I thought the Generals were due for a win in this one, but the Globetrotters extended their win streak over the Generals to 13,140 games with a 32-15 win.
Players for both teams wore ice cleats over …

Mavericks @ Warriors – This game might not even be that great, but I just remember the 2007 playoffs when the Warriors upset the Mavs in the first round. Man, that was great. I wish I could see Mark Cuban’s …
