After over three months of NBA battles night-in and night-out, it’s time for those who make the headlines to make some more as the best of the best get together in Dallas for All-Star Weekend. Jerry Jones has given the keys to Cowboys Stadium to David Stern for the weekend to host the biggest event in NBA history. Everything’s bigger in Texas, right? Rick Pitino Back to the NBA?
What a crazy Thursday morning for Rick Pitino, the New Jersey Nets, and media outlets around America. Current college coach of Louisville Rick Pitino was originally rumored to be scheming a comeback to the sidelines in the NBA. I first heard this morning that he reached out to the Nets, either Rod Thorn or prospective owner Mikhail Prokhorov, on …

Both of these teams are still considered as contenders to win in it all this June, but I can’t help but think these two teams are headed downward, and faster than you think.
It is my humble opinion, that both of these teams …

I’ve been looking forward to producing this list for a while now…I’ve labored over statistics for a while, but some of these picks just feel good. I might have been a bit biased this month, but who cares – it’s my opinion anyway.
Eastern Conference Player of the Month – LeeeeeeBron. 30 / 8 / 7 for the month of January. That’s MVP caliber play right there. He’s picked up the pace too with recent injuries to Delonte West and Mo Williams. His back might get sore, but I envision him …

Since we are getting closer and closer to the trade deadline, I figured I’d share with you some of my favorite situations with players that I think we could see traded. Will any of these guys actually become members of new teams? Only time will tell.
Ray Allen. As noted in The Ref’s Power Rankings, Ray Allen’s tenure in Boston could be over. Boston has lost 6 of their past 8 games, and are definitely limping into the All Star Break. There are rumors that the locker room morale isn’t …
